Not the best idea of Ollies - starting to alienate the faithful will only end up with one outcome - P45 eventually
Agree. Unnecessary by Holloway. Mind, he was so pumped up post-match, I'm surprised he didn't lamp the interviewer!
He is right play to the whistle support to the bitter end and clap the team off the field win or lose Our midfield kept on going we were all over them second half . I maintain we have the best midfield in the league We will be in the mix imo
According to Dean Smith it was all the ref's fault that we equalised (interview with Sky) So nothing to do with your crap substitutions and poor defending then Dean? To$$er
Gotta be happy with that ending, should give the players a bit of a buzz they can carry through. And no, never leave early. Went to watch the Hammers in the old Zenith w/e cup v Peterborough. Got there late and had to stand in the empty part of the south bank because the central 'pen' was closed. It was ****ing freeeeeezing, we played **** and, 2-1 down, with a couple of minutes left, just wanted to get somewhere warm. got to the pub, had a few beers but strangely no other Hammers turned up. They arrived about 40 minutes later, singing their heads off after watching us win 5-2.
I love all these clever ****s who say you should never leave early, as they’re sitting at home in their PJ’s in a nice warm house, drink in hand and ready for bed.
I think that's the point that Holloway missed. A Saturday afternoon, and his criticism would have some resonance. But 0-2 down midweek, 2 minutes to go and Brentford pressing hard for their 3rd goal, minds of the QPR fans turn to work the next day
My mind was on how ****ing cold my feet felt, to be fair. That and whether I was gonna beat the usual traffic chaos when they shut the M4.....oh well.....you live and learn.....hopefully
I didn't leave early... So I was there screaming my head off at 94 minutes...just the 4 of us left at the back of the loft... They even played Hi Ho Queen's Park Rangers for us even though we didn't win... Singing "2-0 and you f@@@ed it up" to the Bees fans was priceless. I don't care what Ollie said...he/we were so pumped up he couldn't help it. Yes it papered over the cracks. The team spirit is tremendous though..A more stable defence ( back from injuries) and a striker (Eze) to compliment Dr Who...and perhaps we might settle into mid table safety. Complete hyper after one of the most amazing ends I have seen.. Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Ollie is playing a very dangerous game if he starts to criticise supporters. A lot of managers have done this in the past and lived to regret it. If a fan wants to leave early if we're playing crap ( which we were let's not forget ) then it's their prerogative. I never do but on a freezing cold Monday night, 2-0 down to one of our local rivals and playing awfully with only injury time to go the prospect of a warm house/car/pub would be overwhelming. I've got more of a problem with people turning up late all the time. In the R block at the Villa game people were still coming in at 15 mins gone, can't ever understand that and it always seems to be the same faces!!
Rubbish that was a protest walk tonight has nought to do with work they can’t handle losing and we have a load of them I bet most of them were Brexiteers as well Not in my mind you stay until the end Ok if you have travel worries fair enough It wasnt even cold tonight
Absolutely right. If the 'faithful' (who left early) can't cope with a minor telling off from a pumped up Olly with adrenaline, relief and rage emanating from every pore of his body then they need to get a life! I've said this so many times - never left early and never would though I do have the luxury of living a 20 min bus ride away. Boy did that feel good. Two Brentford fans on bus. Walked past them wearing a very smug smile!! Deliberately had phone call with son to 'recap' the game though nearest fella was signing to his girlfriend so might have been wasted on him!.
Top stuff Beth and massive respect due to you You lost me on the very last bit of your post mind Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk I'm confused now Up the R's
Just watched the highlights. The spirit of Derby away 2011 lives on! 1st off side for them. TWO penalties that were much more penalties than Villa were awarded against us. Just loved the passion in the team and the management. Proper local derby. We just need to go there in April and properly stuff them. Huge well done Olly, Birch and the lads. Job immensely well done tonight. We all know there's a way to go but I do think there has been progress.
