Robbie Power visits sunny Shropshire. Can't imagine he's been to Ludlow previously and not coming to sample the delights, of which there are many, of the southern part of the county. Good luck

Normally a Kempton jumps meeting on a Monday afternoon would be a chance to get some multiples going around Mr. Henderson's runners but I was thinking things are a little quiet in Seven Barrows at the moment in terms of winners (despite the excellent win of Top Notch on Saturday). That's what I sensed at least, but a quick glance at the old stats tell me 5 of his last 14 have won. Perhaps we have come to expect too much from the forum's favourite trainer? Anyways, he sends 6 horses to Prestbury Park today plus a couple to Ludlow for good measure. I would expect the Buckley silks to be gracing the winners enclosure twice at Kempton buy why, oh why, Sir Barney, has Mr. Henderson, a master with the females, no runner in the listed mares race? What is the world coming to?

I know Hendo is a senile old **** who is fuelled by Hendricks and fever tree but I hope he isn't getting directions from yourself!

Aw ****ity ****, there I was trying to string a few lucid words together and I go and pick the wrong park <doh>

Anyways, I am turning into a senile old **** too, more fuelled by German beer than horlicks though :)

I've gone for Dance Floor King in the 2.30 Kempton. Still running off a good mark and showed plenty of ability, last season. Looked like he was returning to form in his last race when he got massively compromised and still managed to run into 3rd place.

Yes, it is something of a shame and the race has lost an awful lot by the absence of Mr Henderson. There has certainly never been a better trainer of fillies and mares. They respond so well to his magic hands and soothing words.

Never mind which trainer doesn't have a runner. Pay more heed to which mare has swerved the race in favour of going to Newbury on Friday, nudge nudge wink wink.

The animal perhaps named after Mr Tizzard’s sibling?!? Against Thistlecrack?!? Although I guess the race will be a mere 'sighter' for the latter.

There was one of those ‘list’ programmes on a month or so back called something like ‘The most shocking moments of the 80s’ and taking very high rank was the announcement that Elton John was to marry (and in those days, team, a chap could only marry a filly by the way - hence the shock). There was Z-list after Z-list character from the 80s interviewed saying something along the lines of, ‘Cor blimey when I heard I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!’.

Looking at today’s news the response must be something similar. The Saxe-Coburgs did though make it even more obvious by hiring an ‘actress’ for the role!

Barney it's well documented that you dislike the royals. Why do you have to lower the tone with your insinuations. Your attitude is unacceptable , please keep your views to yourself.

Cor blimey we’ve got a Saxe-Coburg apologist on the forum. Give him ample room, people, so that he can have a good old salute and tug of his forelock.

But out of interest I’d love to know why my attitude is ‘unacceptable’. Strange choice of word. You might agree, you might not and that's your prerogative but to say that someone's different view is 'unacceptable' is slightly mystifying.

I'm not getting involved in an argument with you. You know exactly what I'm on about with your insinuations your attitude is unacceptable in this day and age and shows you to be the dinasour that you are and you are not funny. If you want to slag the royals off do it on the general chat board. Btw I'm not a royalist my family are from Ireland . I've seen Harry at play in Cheltenham and he seems like a decent enough bloke. Good luck to them.
