I hope Poch has an electronic cattle prod wired up in the dressing room. They all need an injection of energy.
Not making any changes and we will. We’ve got no pace in attack, and no width. Defences have even sussed out Trippier’s crosses by marking him higher up the pitch, where they know he won’t play a cross from as it’ll be no threat. Probably why he’s taking corners, as that’s the only success he’ll get.
Awful first half by Spurs, no creativity, poor decision making, slow passing. Dele losing posession in midfield for the goal, Sanchez should have been stronger but what the hell was Lloris doing not coming off his line for the goal? Lloris is a top keeper but he makes too many mistakes to be world class. Dele and Eriksen have been shocking and need to take a hard look at themselves, too powder puff in the challenge, falling over all the time. Lets hope Poch has read them the riot act at HT and we come out and get an early goal. COYS
1. Slower than a Ben Foster GK is better. 2. Given the cards are lost in Edmonton, I am not waiting for anyone to pick them up (and I am an N18 boy lest some SJW starts up) .
"How often does it happen, West Brom had lost four in a row, then they go to Wembley - without a manager - and they're ahead at half time." (BBC Football commentary) Easy. It's because they're playing Spurs. This is what we do.
Let's hope the changes make a difference as so far it looks like one of our 0-1 defeats. (Do we have the record for 0-1 defeats over the years?)
I wish we'd get some bloody crosses in when we bring Llorente on. Why bring him on and continue to have players try to beat three defenders at a time in the middle?
Davies has been trying all game when he’s had the chance, but they keep getting blocked. Trippier has had a bit more success this half, but nothing of note yet. This game needs a sweaty goal. Aurier would probably be the best man to supply that, but we’re running out of time and he’s not on the pitch.
