I agree totally with this . I think Bartley will get the shout before VDH , I just don't think Bartley should
Williams clearly has not travelled well to Mersyside, but the manager upheavel hasn't helped, Koaman rated him, he's still doing a great job for Wales, and if we can get him back for £5 Million, I would do the deal, as he's a leader and a motivater(Which we are desperate for), and he always put his body on the line for the Swans, still far better than Mawson, by a long chalk!..................
Ash left us in the lurch after signing a lucrative deal with us and he said he wanted to end his playing career with us. His poor excuse was he wanted to play under Koeman........Fcuk him he has made his bed let him lay in it........
Don't look for Narshigh to start anymore games , he's told the club he wants out to go play in Turkey . Someone from the Turkish club is expected to arrive in Swansea the next few weeks to dicuss the transfer.
He has not played many games because of our inept manager who is clueless at picking the right team or having any sort of game plan.........seems a nice bloke though..
I see Daniel James has just signed a 2 year extension. He is 20 now and another one who should be getting some first team game time. If they don't they will never make the step up. Please don't say send him out on loan because you will see that on loan watch of all our loanees only Grimes and Amat have been starting on a regular basis.
If they aren't good enough to start regularly in the lower leagues are they ready to step in to the Premier League. The problem we have had for some time is our side hasn't been in a position to send on or include youngsters for experience - if they are on the pitch they have to perform. James is older than Sanches the response the Portuguese has received from fans and critics is hardly doing him any favours. But, talking of youth we are apparently favourites to sign Solanke from Liverpool. http://news.ladbrokes.com/football/...rites-to-sign-liverpools-dominic-solanke.html
This is the conundrum isn't it, how do we improve the youngsters. They can practice skills on the training pitch and learn about tactics in the classroom but will never get up to speed without real game time. I don't think lenidng them out to lower league teams i.e. Div 2 or Scottish or non league is the answer as our under 23's have a good record against lower league teams anyway.. I know we need points from our PL games but I think I would still rather see 20 minutes of James rather than 20 minutes of Wayne Routledge for our future development and the same applies to our full backs. I have just read Paul Clement's comments on WOL about Solanky and how players need to make the next step up when they reach 18. Doesn't gel with his use of the under 23's unless he does think they haven't got it in them.
Our loanees should not drop down to L1 or L2 if they have been sent out for experience imo, The Championship is where they should go or another premiership team....But in reality we should have a good enough acadamy anyway that we dont need to send out up and coming players and they should get a substitute start for the first team.....I know Tammy is on loan from Chelsea but i'm not really keen as we should have bought our own and / or used our own players. We have a number of players out on loan that are not playing regular football and in that case we should bring them home.....
That's very true, but most people I speak to are so peed off with what's been "served up" as football at The Liberty (or whatever the Yanks will be re-naming it in January) that they will not be renewing but rather picking and choosing their games next season which they fully expect to be in The Championship.....
