If Clement did go then all we'd get to replace him would be another failed manager or at best unknown dross matching the caliber of our anemic squad to replace him.

My reasoning is that no manager even one with only half decent credentials, would risk blotting his career by coming here because our current squad is water weak and to squeeze a winning season out of them would be very difficult. It wold be made even harder because I doubt our illustrious owners will be spending a penny come January so he wont be getting a transfer budget adequate enough to buy sufficient quality into the squad to firm it up and make it competitive.

So, it is with heavy heart I say that, I think we're stuck with Clement and I have a huge issue with him.

My issue is that Clement's priority is his side projects and not the success of the club. He is more concerned with the development of players for the benefit of other clubs; Renato Sanchez for FC Bayern Munich and Tammy Abraham for Chelsea AFC.

That's bad enough but it gets worse. Clement seems to be gambling with his success, the success of the team and of our club by pinning his hope on a dream that these two players, who their mother clubs couldn't train sufficiently to be considered starters, will come good for us this season and save us from relegation.

In my view the owners are complicit in our demise if the don't sack Clement tomorrow if we lose to Bournemouth.

If the owners truly want to stay in the prem then they must invest in the squad come January. For that to go well the owners have to have a manager in place who knows what the squad needs to turn it from an under performing bunch of frightened players into a cohesive, solid, competitive group of men up for the fight. Whoever is in charge come January he need to players or a single player who is a leader. It doesn't matter if he's a skillful AM to get us scoring or a dog of a CB or DM to stop us conceding, what matters is that he is a leader who our squad of support players will follow, they will improve no end, they will respond and the team and results will be the better for it.

Thing is we need a realist for a manager to make that happen but currently we are stuck with a dreamer. Paul Clement is living in a fantasy football world where ghosts and fairies actually exist. He exists in a dream world where a couple of kids, not good enough to play for their mother clubs are transformed into a couple of worldies by his guru like man management abilities and magical coaching talent. Unfortunately for us the reality of Clement fantasy is that he and his pets have dragged us down to their level and we currently flounder second from bottom. We've been here before but this time is different because we're not staring into the dark abyss, this time we're actually falling into it. Clement's got to wake up before we've fallen too far to climb out.

Situations dictate different reactions and you might very well be right on why Clement is still with us

Too right Breezy, if Clement selected the best team, if we played better, if Abraham scored a few more goals that weren't just tap-ins or if he even managed to get a shot on target then opinions may well be different.

Win or lose tomorrow will be interesting to say the least. Wont be watching it though, I'm being a bit of a turn coat, got a freebee to go watch the All Blacks so I'll be wearing red. Still taping match of the day.

Clements a dead man walking, end of, the man's a coward of a coach, and Howe will smash him tomorrow without doubt, the Cherries are back to playing some great football, and we won't keep up with them that's for sure. I cannot believe how pedestrian our football has become under Clementine, cannot wait for the nugget to go. A good Cherries win could be what we need to send the duffer of a coach on his merry way..........<ok>

Looking through the press it seems we, the fans, are to blame for not being positive enough. Thought it couldn't be anything to do with the owners, manager or players.

The fans don't pick the players, the fans don't select the transfer targets, neither do they organise the formation and tactics, that's all down to the Manager and boardroom, so screw the media garbage, because that's all it is....... <ok>

The performance against Bournemouth suggested we do have 'footballers' in the squad so let's get Koeman in before Christmas.

Why Koeman? He's done a worse job this season with better players than Clement? Like Clement, rather than take responsibility himslef, he's another who just came out and blamed the players, while having no tactical nous to change things around there.

Well I cannot see any points from the next 4 games, so if Clement is still with us in January then I think we have had it to be honest, it will be almost impossible for this squad to dig us out of the whole we will be in by then......... <ok>

I would really like to see some positives, but unfortunately for us these Yanks are detached from reality.

He has done a better job than Clement - 3 points better.
Did a great job at Southampton whose play and set up is more akin to ours. Had them playing the pass and move system we had with Monk's predecessors and which a core of players showed they are capable of last Saturday.
Have Everton really got better players? Not so sure, bigger names but individually they are performing no better than us.
Wanted to come to us when Laudrup was sacked.
Would have a bigger influence on better players choosing to come to us in January.
Points per game in the EPL is better than we've ever achieved.

As Dragon says...If Clem is still here in January then we will be almost down as i can see us 8 - 10 points behind 4th from bottom and that will be a big ask to overcome but not impossible......Clement got no chance though as he is our weakest link by far....
