Ellers you are the original Ellerslieroad from the old bbc606 arn't you? As there is another Ellerslieroad on here that didn't have a clue when I started replying to his thread and Notholt informed me he wasn't the original.
I see joe cole is being mentioned again on sky transfers due to us being able to afford more of his wages now.
Now clubs know we have money the prices might be inflated especially as they know we are desperate and the window closure is imminent!
Flanman i am indeed the same Ellerslieroad from BBC606. The same one that enjoyed all the childish encounters/banter with my Reading friend (muppets). The same one who defrended our club aginst the bitter Swans, Palarse and Nowich fans (Sadly they closed us down). I have lost my username because i didn't join quick enough, which was a shame but i don't hold the patent to it. Have come on this site most since it started and thought it was about time i joined. Ellers
Agree Jon434 they will inflate priceses but look at it from another side. A lot of clubs want rid of some high earners and will strike a good deal to offload them from their wage bill. NW said last week that would be the case. I do expect a good player in within 7 days but i can see some last minute deals (joe cole) to happen as well on deadline day. TF/NW are not a stupid guys. We have one more match before deadline and then a International break before Newcastle. I see maybe 1 player in before Wigan then a mad rush, (these dates could work in our favour). Scott Parker will wait for Spurs and Arse but if that doesn't work out we have a good chance but it would need to be (£5-5.5M).
Ian Taylor our PR guy has tweeted this this morning. IJTaylor81 IanJTaylor Busy day - signing off Rochdale programme and working on a few really positive press releases #QPR Should be a good week. Ellers, in regards to parker, Tottenham are apparently out of the running because of their legal action against West Ham over the Olympic stadium. And Arsenal? Do they really need Parker at 30 years old when they have Jack Wilshire and Aaron Ramsey. And come on, Arsene Whinger actually sign and Englishman?? Get real.
I think arsenal will go for Parker, I just feel he is an wenger type and would really fit in well there, hope I'm wrong.
I read that we can afford 30-40% of Joe Cole's wages. Being ITK myself I can exclusively confirm that 'JC' will be available Mondays & Wednesdays for us this season but as he has to supplement his income elsewhere he will be the Chief Steward on Swiss Tony's Penang - Manila business shuttle flights Tuesdays Thursdays and unfortunately Saturdays....
Sorry about my post i meant to say 'i had come on here most days to have a look'. Agree with the West Ham/Spurs thing but lets be honest if you are a England player and you are offered Arse or QPR who would you pick? I think after the stick that Wenger has had recently he may actually turn to an English player like Parker?
Having looked again at the fixture calender after Wigan our next game is on 12th Sept I am inclined to agree with the opinion NW will leave at least 2 players late, after all he is a creature of habit and he has left it late the couple of transfer windows.
Absolutely agree. Watched Wilshere and Parker in the same England side against Switzerland a couple of months ago. They're so alike it's uncanny but clearly neutralise each other in the same midfield. A 30 year old covering for a teen genius? I'm sure Wenger would want to invest available funds in replacing Fabrigas and Nasri... Parker at Rangers still more than possible imo.
In the same vein as the Spuds/ West Ham dispute, TF pee'd off the Hammers owners when he tried to buy the club - would they deal with him?
