Hang on - wow. Wait, what? Wow. That's...wow - that's surprising. And quite an indictment of our management hirings/firings since the 80s tbh.
Very pleased to bounce back with a win after the weekend performance. Young winksy is getting better and better .I thought big dave was class again and getting more like ledley every day. To top the group is a great achievement long may it continue
Could be time for a lennypops Z-scores special on Pochettino (more so given Timmy was mouthing off the other day) ...
Even if we lose 15-0 to APOEL, we'd still top the group ...for once can we not accept this as a challenge?
“I thought I was close [to being fit] and then in first half I was horrendous, I thought I was getting hooked at half-time, and it gave me a bit of a reality check, maybe I’m not as close as I thought I was. “In the second half I thought I did better, I contributed quite a lot in the second half, and I just hope I can get many more minutes. There’s a lot of games now over the next six weeks, and I hope I can play a part in as many as possible. “At Tottenham, you have to have an exceptional level of fitness. I’m not there yet, because I’ve been out for a long time. I’m still catching up.” This comment by Danny Rose should be preceded by a sound similar to a cork exiting a champagne bottle. It would represent Rose's head being removed from his rectum regarding his "fury at being left out of the derby."
The DOF is gone come the summer. He cannot keep his speaking orifice shut long enough this season to avoid giving hacks Narrative (TM) fodder. As stated elsewhere, January is the time to agree terms with Fulham for Sessignon. In addition to that, if a sale to Man Utd happens, in Pochettino I trust if he also wants Luke Shaw in the deal.
I'm so ****ed up at the moment and desperately need sleep. All I'm going to say is that Dusseldorf and Dortmund have instantly become two of my favourite cities and last night was unbelievable, to have "been in that number" was an absolute privilege. Just remind me for any future trips abroad not to book the first flight home the morning after a game, trust my luck to get the last/ one of the last trains back from Dortmund to Dusseldorf last night only for it to have major malfunctions with one of its carriage doors resulting in the train having to stop for roughly 8-10 mins at each station before being able to depart... There were 27 ****ing stops before getting back to my Dusseldorf hotel. Me and my mates are like absolute zombies, two had also agreed to go into work today, they are massively regretting that decision. Anyway, up the ****ing Spurs! Lads were brilliant!
I know a Mackem that went earlier in the season and he couldn't give it a bigger recommendation. His first visit to the club and it was for their 3-2 loss to Leipzig in October. They haven't won since! His favourite London club's Orient, too. They're doing well... I'm considering starting up a crowd funding campaign to get him an Arsenal season ticket.
*May or may not include actual attendance and/or the purchase of any tickets. Might actually be made up entirely.
We can't really play the u19's in this game as they have to win their game earlier in the day to qualify for the last 16 of their competition.
We can field a drastically different side, though. Vorm, Walker-Peters, N'Koudou, Llorente, Foyth, Lamela and more.
