    Today is apparently Children's day. An event started in america in the 1800's and adopted by the UN in the 1900's. Likes of Beckham, David Villa and Saxgin Tendulkar are leading the day this year.

    So the question is

    When the **** was this a thing and why didn't I get a ****ing email and do we give a **** anyway?

    Over to you fellow 606ers. Where do these "events" keep coming from?

    Thanksgiving in the UK?

    But seriously when did everything become what it has?

    I mean Halloween. Its always been there but the whole dressing up and going collecting like the yanks?

    Even dignified stuff like the poppy appeal is all foaming at the mouth and conflict now.

    When did all this start?

    It started with Women's day, they got together and decided on all these other days and seeing as it was Women's Day we couldn't say no and now there's hundreds of days for all sorts of nonsense. When it was Man's Day we invented Beer Day and went and got drunk and forgot to take advantage.
