Manchester United are prepared to let Marouane Fellaini leave for nothing at the end of the season rather than sell the midfielder in January.

The elite is the same one worn by the players, made of different material which includes something called 'body map' - I guess that means it's more fitted. The replica is just plain 100% polyester.

    Oh and ................... £35 <ok>

charlton confirm Ezri Konsa will be sold this January.

He was part of u20 world cup winning team and is a defender but he only played one game (sf in WC)

he;s linked to half the teams in the prem including us.

for those of you unfamiliar with him transfermarkt give the following

    age 20 (birthday Oct 23rd 1997)
    foot right
height 1.83m or 6 foot to you and me.
    position CB
played 12 games in league one this year and 16 games in total

Hope we do not buy him if he only has one foot. Maybe I am being a bit picky, but I think a pre-requisite of being a professional footballer, especially in the Prem. is to be the possessor of two legs, preferably with each having a foot attached!

    thats fair enough.

Gomez has two legs but he only kicks the ball with one.

My view is Gomez is taller and in same position and faster and developed already so..... how many RCBs do we need.

NOT however that i see another in the u23s that might come through. Lloyd jones is a RCB but i don't think he will make it. doing ok with swindon this seaosn on loan but is 22 and I just don't see him making prem level.

I do hope that Gomez gets his chance as a CB.

I'm actually hoping that we move towards a 3 man defence next season.

I think it depends on cms maybe?

If we assume the front 3 are what they are and coutinho goes. That puts Keita in as cm.

Taa and Moreno naturally attacking wing backs.

    3 cbs.

So that leaves one cm slot. Who would it be???

If klopp has 6 cms for 3 slots then I can't see 343.

    Well who have we got?

Milner? I'd prefer to see him RWB if I'm honest but probably as back up. Who know how Clyne will be in that role but am not sure if suited.

Grujic? Needs to step up. Not ready yet.

    Can? Gone

Hendo? He's most likely to play the holding role atm

Lallana? In a 343 would he lose out to Keita? But what if it was more a 352. He'd be in for sure imo

    Couthino? Gone

Ox? Don't see it. Perhaps a first choice RWB <whistle>

    Moreno in the LWB slot.

Imo, we're still lacking in the #6 slot. We would need a specialist.

All moot points as Klopp unlikely to deploy a balanced team!

Can't stand three at the back nowadays. It was alright when Roy Evans did it back in the day though...

so you've got the nail on the head.

343 requires 2 really good cms.

    We don't have them

We have loads.. piles of... a heap of... attacking cms starting with wijnaldum and ranging to grujic, lallana, ox et al.

can we see klopp dropping those and putting an extra cm in?

I think 343 has merit on its day but if you play genuine wide players and vacate the area and gang up on the 2 cms you can hammer teams playing 343.

it requires more flexibility imo than our front 3 would give it.. you need someone up top to drop into cm if midfield needs it

    Yeah, not a fan either.
If you had someone like Dier who can seemlessly shift from CM to CB, then it's fine, but as soon as you start playing 3 specialist CBs in a team, you're going to lose out in the midfield battle. Someone like Mascherano would have been great at this; a DM who naturally drops very deep but very capable with the ball and an eye for a pass. Stick to 4-3-3 as it brings the best out of our forwards, but just need a bloody good set of midfielders - one of whom has to be defensively minded.

Lots of people saying the defensive CM is key are bang on. With the right type of player you can play 343 with a back 4 on paper.

Pep's brilliant Barca team had a back 4 on paper but Alavez and Alba effectively played in Midfield and provided the width. They could do it because they had great engines to get back and cover breaks but more importantly IMO they had Busquets in the screening role. He was effectively the 3rd Center half.

Massively underrated in that team because of the brilliance around him but crucial to how they played. So good Masc had to play CB.

My view on this is old school.

As in its fine to comment on what Barca do but England is bish bosh.you can't have a mascherano try be a cb in England. You will be bombarded and steam rolled by at least 8 sides, not the least of which is 2nd in the table.

    Even pep wouldn't try it.

I think even look at Chelsea. Azpi at rb is fine until sides pump long deep crosses at his side and He gets in trouble.

343 is fine when sides play narrow but if you get wide forwards willing to expose that narrow 3 then you are in trouble.

343 on the other end of the pitch there are some advantages for sure as the front 3 really can work more closely together and this really helped Costa last year (he looked isolated and silky before the change) and hazard never tracks back so it works for him too.

The real weakness to me of 343 is the central midfield area. 3 cbs means you can stick one guy up and flood 5 men into that cm area and overpower teams.
