My fear is that this is open to abuse and interpretation by bitter arsenalholes

How long before ObCestria (see what I did there?) tells us about how it is a load of ****e and spouts some more nonsense about how he supports the North East's #1 team?

Not shocked that it was on the Arsenal board. At the end of the day though, mistakes do happen, but i'd rather that than video replays for everything. This forum would be a hell of a lot more boring if every decision was reviewed, examined then rectified mid match.

The richest team gained the most points through dodgy refereeing - who said corruption was rife in football?

Its that same old tired argument that is halting progress. Id rather be discussing good play and tactics than easily put right refereeing decisions. Who the hell likes talking about refereeing mistakes? The best team should win - in this day and age with so much at stake this is only the right and proper thing

I watch rugby and i know for a fact video works. The arguement that time would be taken from the game is also ****e because when a dodgy decision occurs the players spend 5 minutes arguing with the ref anyway

The time isn't an issue I agree, but comparing football to rugby is a crass comparison. Football is rife with so-called 'gamesmanship' nowadays, that pretty much every challenge or incident would have to be checked. It'd become robotic and even more dull than it has been recently. The only reason all these issues arise nowadays is because Sky have a camera everywhere, decisions have been controversial for years but when you go and watch every game live you don't get the mispleasure of listening to Jamie Redknapp and his 65 replays from all angles

I assure you a lot more goes on in rugby than football. I suggest a tennis system with 3 referals allowed a game

There would have to be a limit on the amount of 'challenges' or as I say every team would make a million challenges per game!

West Ham missed out on 7 points and would still have got relegated by 3 points <laugh>!

Very interesting indeed. In theory that is how the table would have looked with goal line tech (and 3rd eye or whatever it's called in rugby).

Yeah slightly amusing that this would have put us above the mackems after all.
Seriously though i agree with the goal line technology (if proved reliable) and video referalls if as you say a limit is put on them. The best team on the day should win fair and square and where possible the correct decision reached.

1 ref from Northants - Peter Walton - good ref, sent Gervinho off and not Barton! I like him

    Unlucky Blackpool though
