It is an intriguing proposition and he does have better pedigree than Di Canio. "Putting down better suitors" When you've totally written off the best candidte for Sunday league coaches
I’m fascinated by the ‘better pedigree than Di Canio’ bit? Are you talking about as a player or a manager? Cos neither are accurate really? Di Canio player for some of the biggest clubs in Europe and had already taken Swindon up and had them too if League One. Montero player for Juve but has only managed one of the biggest sides in Argentina with a poor record for a club of their standing. I’ve no opinion on him as a potential manager over than my ‘not a time to gamble that big’ comment, but how has he ‘better oedigree’ than Di Canio?
Saying ‘he does’ doesn’t answer the question. He frankly doesn’t does he? He’s absolutely no experience of managing in Europe so even Swindon puts Di Canio ahead there. As a player, well Di Canio also played for Juve, as well as Milan and Lazio. I’m not being arsey here but in no way, shape or form does he have ‘more pedigree’ than Di Canio. He was a good defender in a good Juve team.
But Shef Wed and West Ham marra, that part of his CV won't put anywhere near enough glamour to match his exotic name. That's the combo to qualify a person for a punt.
You are. And a very boring one as you've said the same thing on three threads. But there you go arsehole, at least you've had a response.
Sorry mate it was because this is Sunderland we are talking about and O ****e has zip votes must put more smilies in next time
How are the odds looking now please? Or have the bookies suspended betting on this due to lack of interest?
Can't view it - at work mate Just been forwarded something saying Heckingbottom is the bookies favourite
Bain apparently wants experience - Reid and phillips ,BSA (unlikely he come) or Chris Coleman (will be shortly looking for club management) - the others quoted are not what we need imo
Keane is moving in mind... That said, Heckingbottom I’ll be happy with he’s done good things and he was very impressive knowledge wise on Soccer Saturday.
I think the Keane link is the heart ruling the head. He walked out on Short when we were a Prem club with potential. We've slid a bit since
I reckon we should hire every out of work manager at once, they'd all bring something to the table and it'd look funny seeing them lining up pitch side. Maybe if Kone had three managers on him 24/7 he'd actually shift his backside. Great plan.
