It’s taking a while for them to appoint their next patsy. They must be getting quite a few knock backs from the conference.

Maybe they should appoint Diane Abbott as manager - they'll be top by Christmas (using her maths anyway...)

Off topic here but I see the co-owner of betting firm Bet 365 pocketed a salary of £199million last year. A message to the gamblers out there (I'm not one of them)......the bookie always wins and you get taken for a proper mug. If only you didn't have that gambling bug, it's a form of taxation on you.

Apparently it was initially 99.5million but he went double or quits.

I wonder how much of that was gained from Albert's 'insurance bets'?

I have always been impressed that Shola insisted on taking the penalty when Nolan was on a hat trick. That lad could, quite literally, show Shearer how to score from the spot.

So he should seeing as he rarely left that spot for the entirety of matches.
    Ah Shola's still missed

Was the most regular phrase used by commentators in his time here

<laugh> Well, if true then Heckingbottom is certainly a fitting name for their likely league position.

Following on from 'Star Trek Into Darkness' and 'Star Trek Beyond', the latest movie in the franchise ('Star Trek Into the Darkness of the Abyss and Beyond') will feature a new ship, the USS (Useless Shiite Sunderland) Plummet and introduces some previously unseen territories.

There will also be a spin off TV show that will feature a new admiral taking charge of the ship each week.

My father-in-law has just spent two months in hospital, he returned home this week. I pointed out that in the time he spent in hospital, Sunderland hadn't won in the league. "That's nowt" he said, "the bloke in the next bed has been in since last December..." <laugh>
