    It would be great if some team from the African Continent could actually manage to get to the late stages of the WC at the expense of the European teams. How abut a final between France (a team whose players have a European, African, North African and even Caribbbean heritage) and Morocco, a former French colony.

    I said it last season and I'll say it again this.

    For what is now at stake in football, moneywise, the standard of officiating is nowhere near good enough.

    That would be beneficial.

    Even without the money involved, the standard is not good enough. However there millions of pounds at stake with every kick of a ball now, making a referees decision even more important and I don't think the level of officiating in today's game matches this.
