I have actually met Martin Jol. He’s a friend of my brother’s, who knows him from when he used to coach Waalwijk in Holland.

Went to collect some tickets that my brother had arranged for me. When the girl asked me who had left the tickets for me and I said Martin Jol, she looked very doubtful. Anyway, he came down personally to ask my brother was.

Really nice guy.

 

@Hoddle Is A God knows him too. He used to regularly meet up with him when he was at Ajax and they’d share a beer together, whilst Jol showed him pictures of players that he was scouting.

Don’t ask HIAG any questions about Jol that will embarrass him into admitting that he’s bullshitting though
