Hadn't Hitler disregarded the treaty of Versailles, annexed Austria and invaded Czechoslovakia, with Britain negotiating at each stage, before he invaded Poland (which was our ultimatum)? I know little of the Falklands but the invasion of Poland wasn't the first aggression from Hitler.
Both The Sunday Times and The Observer seem to be running investigative stories today about how people in the Russian government/intelligence sectors were building relationships with key people in the Leave campaigns, using social media (false facts and opinions pretending to be by Brits) and "black money" (illegal contributions to campaigns or free use of people paid for by others) to affect the outcome of the Brexit campaign. Some of the facts are coming from what is being learned in the US about the Clinton/Trump election. The US has much better transparency than we do about these things - our government doesn't seem to want to know or care, so far. I wonder if this interference was a possibility in the last General Election, too? There seems to be an invisible web out there that is slowly being highlighted. I wouldn't like to think we were all puppets of Putin, would you? Edit: When I say "seem" it's because I'm only going on internet/email ads from both those papers about what's in their paper today. It's too early to have read any of them and I haven't - yet.
Rejoice! Tucked away after pages and pages of Westminster sex stories in today’s Sunday Times (haven’t got to the Russia stuff yet Dipper, but I had assumed this to be the case already) is the news (possibly) that trade talks will start with the EU before Christmas (this year!). Because May has promised to pay up €32bn for existing budget commitments, €10bn for ‘other liabilities’ and €20bn for the transitional period. €62bn (£53bn) in total. Let’s hope the £ doesn’t sink too much as that will put the bill up.

Regarding all these allegations about politicians and they way they Oh look! There's a dead cat on the table!!
New tax haven leaks. Apparently $10 trillion is held offshore around the world, 80% by the richest 0.1% of the world population, and 50% by the richest 0.01%. $10 trillion on which tax is not paid where the money was generated. The leaks also show that ‘Lord’ Ashcroft, self appointed king of Belize who has given millions to the Tory party, illegally avoided paying tax during his time in the House of Lords between 2010 and 2015. This after he had pretended to give up non Dom status in 2000, but actually didn’t.
As if we needed any proof about what a vile, disgusting society we have become. Seems all the uber-rich are only interested in becoming the uber-richer, and **** the rest of society.
The thing is, people just shrug their shoulders at this stuff. It's just what these dirty ****ers do. In last week's PMQs, Corbyn bafflingly rambled on about private jets registered in the Isle Of Man, to zero effect. Hopefully, it was the first salvo in a campaign about tax evasion, but I won't hold my breath.
Only in this stupid country can prime time TV show people with Glittery body parts prance about in suggestive poses while we also balance that with politicians telling old stories about how their knees were once compromised Serious stuff Sexual power all of a sudden is placed on the dandruff shoulders of old suits while honey traps are allowed to dress as they see fit for what purpose? I what all government employees to now wear grey jump suit uniforms only. All fashion should be banned and anyone showing a hint of flesh to be drowned
Maybe if the uber-rich played fair and paid their taxes like the rest of us....then just maybe the government wouldn’t have to borrow all the money for the poor and needy.... Just a simplistic thought
Starting with her Majesty, who, it has just been admitted, has secreted 10 million off-shore for tax avoidance purposes.
