I've asked before why Mourinho never starts Rashford and Martial together. The two of them are far better than Mhki and Mata driving forward.

A loss, yes, but better go out showing a bit of spirit. Miki shouldn't start in the PL, he's now good for cups only - we need Martial and Rashford starting regularly but Lingard playing on the left just complicated things

It pains me that you have two of your most skillful forward and dynamic players, and you can't find a way to play them together. Fergie would never keep the better man on the bench in name of some fancy system. Rashford can play on right or left. Martial, primarily left. There's no reason to not fit them in. To illustrate the point, if Mourinho had Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney in 2008, he would probably only start two of them based on what we are seeing.

On the game, I'm pleased with the way we fought it out. It's a loss, nonetheless against a weak Chelsea team.

The only way we could catch City now is if we beat them home and away.
Can you see that happening? No chance.

Can you see Mourinho even trying to make that happen? Not a ****ing chance.

He doesnt try to win big games. He just hopes the opposition will somehow gift it to us. It's a ****ing joke.

United dreadful. Matic back to 2015 vintage.
500m bus did look dangerous with long balls to Fellaini.

Matic Fellaini axis is United way

I thought Matic played well but that wouldn’t suit your agenda :azn:

The bus is still outscoring Chelsea (but not City).

I think both of your current teams will finish in the top four with City winning it at a canter.

Baka was good and dreadful simultaneously. Driving into space, more mobile than Matic, then dreadful delivery.

Like Essien 2005, hope he becomes half the player - injuries.

United looked dangerous when Fellaini came on

Clutching at straws, the result would have been different had Pogba played.

Pogba is a big loss and would have orchestrated the attack. Mikhi played his most ineffective game. There was no leadership in the middle of the park and the passing was just poor. Not sure whether the press/fans pressure told but JM opened the game up today more than I thought he would. Made for an open exciting game but United just did not have the players to benefit. Only the Chavs took advantage. And will the fans now appreciate defensive solidity a bit more? I'm sure there are fans out there who prefer getting beat playing an open game rather than win playing a cautious game. I cannot ****ing believe the criticism he got for the match against Spurs.

Now more than ever, united need to win their home matches. Even at this early stage, the title is City's to lose. Everyone else is playing for top 4.

Mykhi was a waste of a shirt, Matic was the worst I have seen him play(which is disappointing since I likened him to Carrick in his last couple of games).
Mata would have been a much better call than Mykhi today and I starting to regret that Periera went out on loan as he would be a better option also at the moment.
The best comfort I can take from today is that City look like they can be got at, Arsenal opened them up quite a few times but should have started with Lacazette and had Walcott and Giroud to come on later in the game.

Matic was immense for us Jan 14 until he got sent off v Burnley 2015.

Hasn’t been same since. Those who said he would propel you to title were premature imo.

40m good price for him. But we signed 2 injured players stupidly. Baka is like Essien, with passing of Carlton Palmer. He is more dynamic than Matic, hopefully he will come on

  18. United boss Jose Mourinho says he should be shown more respect for being a serial winner. (Daily Star)

I bet you fans love him for saying that, yeah?

    "Serial winner?"
