For the first time since getting promoted I'm glad about that. Really wouldn't fancy us in a blood and thunder game like that at present against an opposition full of heart. God that's depresssing, 10pm can't come soon enough!
My mate who is 67 plays that walking football and he said that last week there was a bloke watching them and making notes so at the end he went over and asked him who he was and what he was doing. He said he was a Scout for Southampton and that Les Reed had sent him to find one or two players with a bit of pace to add to our mid field and front line.
****ing hell SW talking about re-appointing Pards or having Nigel as caretaker Can always rely on SW to cheer you up
I'm 68 and constantly get pulled up for 'running' in walking football. The pace is not that rapid but there is however a degree of commitment and passion, leading to 'frank discussions' about running, tackling, and contact. I wish I had the same passion for the real football. Saints might be rubbish but they will continue to be my rubbish.
We need an experienced manager who is use to winning. I'd go Manuel Pellagrini. Then we'd have MP 3 - Music to my ears.
Tom would like to apologise for having an opinion, clearly he didn’t understand that a forum is for silence and agreeing with everything that people paid more than you to do a job say. Because they always know best.
Thing is, you’re not saying that *you* could do the job better, but you’re perfectly within your rights to point out where you think the current incumbent is doing things wrong. Plus, Tadic on the right.
Well quite. It’s an example where i’ll happily challenge anyone who thinks that MP2 has that right, just because he gets paid ££££.
What I do find sad and I don't understand at all (oh and this will make me really popular) is people saying they have lost their connection to the club. Really? Because we are a bit **** at the moment? If a United fan said that, they'd get called a glory hunter. It's not good and we are experiencing a period of low following 7 years of constant rise, but come on, show some stomach for a fight. Grumble away and moan, that's fine, but anyone saying they've lost connection/desire/ or whatever.... meh! I look forwArd to you finding your connection the next time a big cup game or final has tickets on sale
I lost my connection to the club long before we became 'a bit ****' as you put it. It was probably during Rons last year even though it was our best league finish of my lifetime. Can't speak for everyone obviously, but that's for me. It's not just Saints it's football in general too. I'd rather be **** in the lower leagues than in the PL. Also I'm still attending games but if we get to a cup final etc. I'll be ****ed as I'm mainly doing aways on others tickets
