It's great being a fan when things are going well. Lauding the success and reveling in the glory is easy. But it's when the going gets tough that the real fans stick by their managers and players. Our team needs a lift right now and as fans, we're in a position to give it to them. Everybody is aware of the problems at the moment, but let's do our bit as supporters to give our support to our team. They need us more than ever right at the moment.
Indeed. What I've been saying for the last few months. I even made my signature for it. We also need to show support for Wenger. He must feel really lonely right now. Give him support. Something along the lines of: "Oh Arsene we love you, but spend some ****ing money"
I'm kind of torn on the situation. On the one hand I obviously want us to do well and win games, which means I have to put all my support behind the team. But on the other I am convinced that the squad is too weak and that it is solely Wenger's fault for it being in this condition, which means I am very frustrated at the moment. However seeing as I can only make it to about 3 games a season I guess it doesn't matter too much either way

There is 1 benefit to our poor performances. All the glory seekers leave and only us real gooners stay supporting the team. Could you imagine how many fans man utd. would lose if they were in the same situation that we're in?
Whilst at the ground yesterday with my son in law,two Dutch lads came up to us and pointing at the construction work on Queensland Road asked "Is that Highbury" ?
I've been supporting Arsenal since 1978 and never entertained backing another club ever since. Arsenal winning and doing well in competitions gives me great pleasure and they have my undivided loyalty in both good and bad times. However when I perceive that certain decisions or indeed indecisions are detrimental to the club I feel it is a duty to say so ( not that my voice would carry very far at any rate ) as long as this is nothing in the order of jumping on a bandwagon and possessing of a short term view lacking in foresight. Arsenal's current problems are largely of Arsene's own making but I shan't go into that here since this has been discussed elsewhere. As I said, come match day only one team would I support.
Same here, been a (almost) one club man all my life. Well, last year i went to cheltenham, thought it was lovely, and started supporting them as a second team, but i'll never stop supporting arsenal. Even if sir alex fergusuon were to take over as manager, i wouldn't stop.
Interesting read. If true this should perhaps be more known so the fans can then redirect pressure onto the board. How the heck did we get into this situation? However, make no mistake. The board has little interest in improving Arsenal if it means a smaller profit percentage. They are more than happy with the way things currently stand. Stan Kroenke has no intention of getting his chequebook out. I shouldn't need to remind you that this is the last year where such spending, using outside investment, is possible before the FFP rules come in. This summer, we should have seen lavish signings with money from sales, the profit machine that is Arsenal and the investment of our owner. Nothing of the sort has happened. Simply put, the board couldn't give a flying **** about the football side of the club.
Who knows how much may indeed be true? It would be a ' get out of jail ' card for Arsene Wenger. I recall a R5 Live interview with Ivan Gazidis back in the spring of this year where he was adamant that the club would not buy success, instead grow it. Perhaps in there too is a message that they refuse to entertain the salary scale necessary in keeping, let alone attracting top quality players. It would fit nicely into what the article is trying to say about what Arsene is doing..... This is getting more complicated by the minute. Wonder what it was like in the days of Terry Neil? Oh yes, I remember, one FA Cup in 1979 and a third place finish in 1981. A part of me never thought Stan Kroenke was a good idea. This thing could get worse before we see better days.....
You Gooners have been far too tolerant, you should demand Wenger's sacking, yes he has been a great. But....Now he isn't. You have seen the best of him, and like Vieira and Henry, once your time is up it's up Come in M. Wenger......
Just read it RvB, interesting stuff, and probably much truth in it. But if there is an impasse, it is probably driven by a lack of faith in the Manager's ability at Boardroom level. And a lack of supporters(of Wenger) in it
That my opinion of it also. But i'm not against kicking the board members out and getting more ambitious ones in.
