Maybe so, but he's still correct in saying most people have changed their minds about the Allams.

    Me being one of them.

You've gone for arguing in favour of the Allams to arguing as to the reason why people changed their minds about the Allams.

If people didn't know any better they'd think you're just a lonely guy with nothing better to do, looking for some attention.

Enter the "Allam political party ft. Tony Blair". Something to unite the nation (I know, no politics).

I can foresee them trying to get the council to take the SMC back off them and then calling in the 7-figure debt that the SMC owes Hull City Tigers (shudder) Ltd, Does the SMC own the stadium or merely operate it? There's no way they could put the SMC into administration and buy the stadium for £1 is there?

I'm not arguing about anything, I'm simply pointing out that the mouth foaming rants about the Allams hasn't made anyone change their mind. If you think otherwise, good for you.

Those sorts of people would be better off not thinking then, because that couldn't be any further from the truth if you tried.

Agreed. Me too. I wasn't disputing that.

My mind wasn't changed because of the hate fueled rants I've seen online.

I doubt that's what's swayed you too Kemps.

at the end of the day the 'hate fuelled rants' were right and you were wrong - at least you now accept that you totally misjudged their selfish ****ishness - you are a welcome convert my son

That's a completely unfounded statement to make, it is literally just your own personal experience and not representative of all fans. I have no doubt that many people changed their minds without ever reading a forum or online article, however to say the online vitriol and campaigns haven't had any impact is naive at best.

Its just another way for you to clash with people, what once caused conflict is now something you have in common with these people so you've just picked another way to argue. Much like Ehab you'd rather be heard and disliked than ignored and forgotten.

The council own the stadium, the SMC just lease it and the council obviously isn't just going to take it back when it's £13m in debt.

A £13m debt that the Allams ran up because it suits them, they decide how much to charge the club and therefore how big a loss it makes. It never used to make massive losses like this, it just suits them to lump debt in there instead of City (though to be honest, I can't see why).

I believe its to stop anyone making an approach to take over the SMC.

There'd be overwhelming public pressure for the council to run the SMC themselves or to find a new owner, not just from football fans but from rugby fans (for various reasons) and the general public (gate/arena fiascos). Lumping it with a huge debt makes it a non-starter, the council couldn't touch it if they wanted to and no third party will be remotely interested.

Essentially it gives the Allams free reign to do exactly what they want with the stadium and unless they commit a serious breach of their agreement (which they are too smart to do) they can get away with it, winding up football fans, rugby fans, the council and whoever else up in the process.

Still a bit risky, if the council were to somehow manage to get the lease cancelled, they'd be ****ed.
