They may be as bad as each other, we'll never know, but whatever the reason the council rejected their plans to buy the stadium and however that decision came about its been a huge blessing and prevented the club and the wider community from serious damage so we have to thank them for that.
I heard that Ehab had to actually explain to the media why his pirate comment was funny. No one knew what he was on about. Sad bastard.
http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/hull-east-yorkshire-news/mystery-4ft-captain-hook-stolen-722019 I wonder where this might turn up?
I've just had a conversation with a City supporting mate who's currently abroad. He just rang me - he was ecstatic with jubilation. Couldn't contain himself. He'd heard the news the Clowns had gone from the stadium.
It's based on past evidence. You're trying to make out they're just docile old dinosaurs who are victims, but they're just as culpable in the whole mess. You can't possibly try to defend their ineptitude and ineffectiveness in any of this. I never said they were as stubborn, you just completely made that up, I said it's not possible to have a sensible conversation with them, because that's true.
How? They saved a public asset and the Allams went off and sulked. Should they have just given them the stadium to prevent them having a tantrum? HCC are not provoking the Allams, all they've tried to do is look after the best interests of the public with the stadium, the gate, the arena...etc. Its not their fault the Allams are just petulant kids that don't like to be told no.
You seem to be working on the assumption that if you state stuff like this as fact often enough, people will accept it.
Inglis posting on the Comment in HDM is revealing. Poor judgment, thin-skinned and resentful. Good job he's on his way out. Don't raise your hopes about any better councillors coming along.
You seem to be under the illusion that people will change their minds based on something they've read on an internet forum or elsewhere online. I'm not.
In my opinion Airlie, if the council had given them the stadium, that would have entitled every council tenant to ask to be given their property. They would be entitled to but of course the council couldn't have allowed that to happen with all their tenants.
