Bit late to the game as I'm up early to catch a flight in the morning.

Anway, sublime finish from Giroud to make it 0-1

what a goal, reminded me of the norwich goal from a few years back.

nice to see wilshere was involved in that move. I think he should be given a chance in the league now.

The hundreds of comments I've had to trawl through on this thread clearly demonstrate just how interested people were for this match...

Jokes aside, the youngsters are certainly performing well and are making their case to push for a starting spot. Was nice to see us keep a clean sheet with a makeshift side. Credit to Giroud for the improvised finish, as well as the link up play between Wilshere and Walcott.

I know Wenger's said the league is his priority, but this is probably going to be our most likely route to get back into the Champions League. We're in pole position to qualify from the group. So, assuming we do, we really need to start taking it seriously afterward.

Reiss Nelson should be playing in place of Theo. Theo is so hard to watch.

Overall the team did well to come out of that with maximum points.

Thought Wilshere was our best player again.
He should be starting games for us.

Coquelin was disappointing he had an opportunity to come in and impress and to be honest he looked pretty terrible.

Lovely finish from Giroud for the goal.

I would promote Nelson, Wilshere and Maitland-Niles to the first team.

Would rather see them in there than Walcott and Elneny.

I thought Coq was solid tbh... very worried about Walcott's lack of development and Giroud's body language was loud in in did interest.

Might as well use this thread for the return game tonight.

Would like to see Nketiah get a game tonight. He looked like a really good prospect against Norwich.

****ing **** game, Walcott needs to **** off, hate watching him play. Coquelin and El Neny can join him as well, just wasting Nelson’s talent by playing him at RWB.

Some nice play from Willock, good strong run and pass to Giroud. Agree that Nelson should be playing in Walcott's position.

    Ok soo.

    1. We have virtually no defence. Its only a matter of time before Wenger plays a striker in his 'back three'.
Elneny and Debuchy are not centre backs.

    2. Coquelin looks the worst player on the pitch.. and this is a Europa league game FFS! He's ****ing ****.

3.Macey - looks like a really good young keeper. Also like the look of Willock.

I enjoy getting a chance to see our young players. The Europa isn't exactly the most exciting competition, particularly in the group stage so at least with the youth players out there it's a chance to watch a different kind of game.

Wenger is such a rigid ****er, once he settles on a formation, he plays that same formation in every single ****ing game, no matter what. Do we really need this many defensive players against teams like this at the Emirates? The two kids playing wings backs are not playing in their natural positions, so offer nothing going forward or defending. Basically we have just Walcott,Wilshere and Giroud to score or create.
