Where was that place that guaranteed you a good night and a hangover?..... And more importantly a filthy little tart at the end of play.Having lived in south east london for most of my life i remember Cinatra's in Croydon and Cheeks in Deptford very fondly Away from London a little place in Swansea called Harpers was a great place......
Bar Central, Central Milton Keynes. Lots of Indie music, Rock, 80's, and when I was there and pissed up, i'd convince the DJ's Scissors and Witters to stick on Eminem or D12 to get things going. Also it is where I met my wife. Double Vodka and Red Bulls for £3.99 a pop. Great memories.
The Venue in New Cross. Great Indie club where lots of bands launched their careers. Got to snog Miki Berenyi from the band Lush there one night, in a drunken backstage party. She's a minger now, but 25 years ago she was a minx
Now called Sin City. If you knew Harpers you must surely have come across (not literally, although no doubt plenty did) Barons? That was the ultimate stinking cess pit.
The Mud Club and Wag when first started clubbing. Then Spectrum, Trip, Astoria, Labyrinth, Dungeons, etc. Mad a few sorties north to Nude at Hacienda, Quadrant Park etc. Amnesia, Ku, Space in Beefa!
When at Uni in Southampton, would be McClusky's (or McSlutsky's as it was known) then onto New Yorks. Student nights at 50p a pint were decent, although tasted like crap! Otherwise it was Kaos or Clowns & Jesters
Tall Trees in Yarm, near Middlesbrough always had good rep, I used to go there to watch the up and coming amateur boxers on fight nights. As a night club, I remember people coming from all over the Country to give it a whirl, proper dance and trance stuff like with the best DJ's..
The king of kings - Sankeys. That place was just nuts from top to bottom. Many a night utter wrecked in there. For Ibiza imo nothing got anywhere close to Pacha, Erik Morillo Subliminal sessions circa 04/05.
Serious question all....are the best trollops northern, southern or welsh? (this could need another thread)
