Very true.....Two pens in the past two games both coming from individuals errors rather than anything the opposition developed on their own, though I do wonder why he plays one striker up top when we're at home. Can't get my head around that one, maybe someone can enlighten me.
He already had the foundation of a side that had two consecutive top ten finishes under Grayson. That Preston side is nothing to do with Alex Neil.
That's a little unfair, three of their starting eleven were Neil signings and they're responsible for over a third of their goals so far this season (it should be four, but the keeper they bought for £1m from Norwich got injured in pre-season and hasn't played yet).
Carl Howland @CarlHowland Just followed assem allam in his roller in Cott. Off to the training ground to give p45 to Slutsky? Maybe @bbcburnsy ??
I hope to God we never get Alex Neil, he the bigger moaning twat I have ever come across, never stopped spouting in the 4th officials ear the hole game when we played them.
Nobody is saying we should be romping the league, but when the manager is showing strong signs he doesn't know what he's doing with the squad he does have available then alarm bells start to ring. For starters he could help himself by playing players in there correct position. It's even as far as when he is on the sideline pacing up and down, pulling at his hair etc, that instills me with literally zero confidence, so what do you reckon that's saying to the players!
Rick Skelton, thrown a interesting name into the hat if Slutsky does go, a guy who city were very interested in not long ago Chris Coleman
Sorry to burst your angry bubble mate but our defence is ****e. Really, really ****e. Therefore we let too many goals in. Having Guardiola in charge ain't changing that.
1- isn't true , I aren't one of these in the know people , but on this one occasion I do know that isn't true , unless he's had a change of heart in the past year
I'd be surprised because managers know their stock can drop with the flip of a coin these days. Coleman may have only 1 chance to capitalise, professionally and financially, on getting a really 'good' job following his perceived success with Wales. I thought he would gamble on getting a mid table or lower end premier league team or a cash rich team elsewhere that can give him a bumper contract.
To be fair he probably has changed his mind now as we are not premier league , but I got told by 2 unconnected people who both know folk involved that the deal was all but agreed and he was up for it, but couldn't agree a deal with the Welsh FA
Can you imagine if he did, we would be over run by the Welsh, Tony Pennock and Jon Beale with us already, that is Coleman kept Pennock on that is.
I wouldn't think the old man is going there just for a look round, probably to give Leo his dreaded vote of confidence or to give him his P45.
Nah, the **** would probably have his minion deliver a letter while saying 'No idea what's in this envelope Leonid'.
I may be being harsh but i've never rated Chris Coleman. I think he's done decent with Wales but I don't think he cuts it at club level.
I agree with you, I think like a lot of small country side, he had a group of players which to a large part picked themselves, and with Bale in the team he had his match winner.
Appointing Slut wasn't a mistake. It was close to a master stroke. But it became a massive mistake when there was no accompanying back room team to support him (compare & contrast to Silva). And when the appointment came with another totally shambolic pre-season and transfer window. Whether he goes or not is academic. We are now fooked either way. As that is the case, I'd rather Slut told Enob to 'fook right off' and walked. He won't though.
