I expect you've not watched Hull City much over the last 40 years.

I wonder if Ehab ever has a sneaky peak at Villa to see how well Bruce is doing.

I honestly don't know where to start, other than ****tard ****ing off, I am completely devoid of ideas, I usually have a strong opinion or 3 of what should happen, but I just don't know.

And whatever mud is slung at Steve Bruce by various slack jaws including you Ehab (2 promotions with Brum and Hull City's most successful manager ever) look at what he is doing at Villa currently.

Who is more likely to be promoted this season.

Been there, done it Steve Bruce?

Or the pile of **** at HullTigers?

Still, you're the boss (acting, not a real one, just covering for the time being) Ehab.

The rules changed in the summer to try and prevent most of the situations where a player gets sent off and suspended as well as conceding a penalty, which is extremely excessive particularly when it's just a tangle of legs or an accidental handball.

Trouble is, as ever they've needlessly complicated the change with exceptions to the extent that I've no idea whether last night's should have been red or not.

It was never a yellow, it could only be a red.

After consulting with the assistant, the ref started making a changing my mind motion tha an elbowing motion. So my guess is that Hector was red carded for violent conduct, which is presumably still a red card offence after a penalty (as was Jake Livermore’s handball last season). I confess I didn’t see an elbow swing, it just looked like rank clumsiness to me.

But as you say, a simple trip that leads to a penalty is now a yellow, not a red, even if a goal scoring opportunity was denied. Supposed to be anyway.

maybe he meant he put his elbow in his back and pushed him so it wasn't just a tangle of legs as with Meyler a few days earlier - hence why Hector went and Meyler didn't

Have we appealed the red card yet? When’s the deadline?

The highlight of the evening was the full body massage, bordering on something that an MP (of any party!) would have to resign over, on entry while they looked for stress balls

Stress balls aren’t on the banned list, but presumably they’ve decided they’re in the class of ‘anything else that might cause harm’?

Just to confirm that the search was for stress balls, and wasn’t because they thought that a cunning terrorist had somehow figured out how to get to the stadium without using the route closed with a gate, this was my conversation

Steward - I need to check you
    Den - What for?
Steward - Cos of the other night init
Den - I don’t know what you mean
Steward - We’re searching people for stress balls
Den - Oh...but what if I get stressed by the game and need one?
    Steward -....{look of confusion}

Den, I imagine that every ****er got stressed during the game. How could one not?

A giant stadium wide stress ball is the answer, then everyone can have a little squeeze when they need it. Say when we are defending a cross. Any cross. From anywhere.

    We'd better ****ing not.
Unless we do knowing it was a frivolous appeal and they give him a five game ban instead.
    I could live with that.

He wasn't sent off for an elbow, he was sent off for being the last man, it's on the FA website image posted earlier on this thread.

    We won't appeal it.

The elbow theory is not valid, as he's only got a one-time ban.

Fair enough. What the referee’s gesture was supposed to mean is anyone’s guess then.
