Are our new caretaker managers. Has a duel role worked anywhere ever? Look like one car crash moving on to the next.

Sunderland AFC have placed Billy McKinlay and Robbie Stockdale as joint caretaker managers ahead of this weekend’s Tees-Wear derby.

The pair take temporary charge after Simon Grayson parted company with the Black Cats following last night’s draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Stadium of Light.

A further announcement regarding the vacant manager’s position will be made in due course.

I don't think we'll get much of a reaction from the players for the Boro game, presumably they quite liked Grayson so they won't be happy like they would be had they seen the back of Moyes or Di Canio and I can't see them being desperate to impress these two.

It'll be the same old crap until we appoint someone permanently which may well come on the back of the club changing hands. Christ I hope so anyway we're all desperate for it to happen.

Hopefully the new pair should know the clubs problems and provide some continuity for progression - otherwise we go to the international break in bottom place

Hasn't he been caretaker manager before?

I thought he had and didn't win a game.

Might be wrong about that mind.

The phrase "to you, to me" springs to mind.

    My opinion is we need someone;
    1) Not frightened to ruffle the feathers of those like O'Shea - not good enough, not playing.
2} Can get some defenders working as a unit and who can concentrate for 90 minutes
    3) Call in favours in the next transfer window to scare the **** out of the slackers and under-achievers

He must be given some sort of budget. He has to be a hard man who can tell the likes of us to back the club and our (his) team. Also he must be able to stand up to the money-grabbers and their agents.

    Our forwards are decent
Our midfield should do better - in attack and defence. On paper (yes I'm expecting the obvious) our midfield should be one of the best in this league
Our defence is ****e and should scuttle into a dark, cold hole if they aren't men enough to do the job.

This is not a time for austerity - we cant afford it!

What is happening in the Academy? Any goalie that can come through?

Stockdale and McKinley are an acceptable short term appointment for the Boro game alone (we wont get anyone in inside 3 days and the players need to train etc in the meantime) but if they are still there come Millwall game we are in deep doo doo.

According to the BBC website we are looking for an experienced manager before the Milwall game.. They are speculating on Alex McCleish or Ally McCoist

I wouldnt say that we're in deep doggy doo just yet. There's still plenty of time to climb the league, but anything longer would reflect on the incompetence and previous bad decision making of the board!

I think the whole situation is quite profound, taken to a point of pomposity, lacking any logical argumental or endeavour, and frankly we are in a spiral !

Make yourself a sarnie and chill....

Place bread butter-side-down onto skillet bottom and add 1 slice of cheese. Butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich. Grill until lightly browned and flip over; continue grilling until cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese.
