All true, but I cling on to the hope that the fact that next season is the last with any money coming in, will see them cut and run.

Barmby wouldn't do it again, swap him for Andy Dawson, already coaching at Scunthorpe, with Ashbee as his enforcer.

Admitedly I haven't attended due to not doing so until the Allams leave, so I appreciate that.

However, that was Bolton a team who offered very little threat. Since then everyone has said he is a world beater, which he might be, but if Slutsky keeps picking Hector ahead of him logic dictates there must be a reason.

Tomori just watched as a man went past him for a goal.I didn't attend so I am basing it on one glaring error.

On another note..... I would have Phil Brown back, did excellent for us the first time, and has rebuilt his career at Southend. Fans favourite, bring back a bit of positivity and maybe enjoy going again. It will never happen, but I could see far worse appointments.

I just checked every league game he played for Brighton, he came on for 25 minutes at right back in one game, he was a centre back in all the others. He played in pre season as a right wing-back for Chelsea, but he'd never played as one before (though he did play some youth games a right back)...

Tomori was a versatile defender while in the youth system, though he came up mostly as a center back and wing-back is certainly new for him. But he’s ready to play wherever if that means first-team minutes of course.

“I’ve never actually played right wing-back before but I played right-back quite a lot in my earlier years. The manager has made me aware of what’s required in the role; where to be, where to run and where to pass the ball, which has made it a lot easier for me. I’m enjoying it and hopefully whenever I get a chance I can make an impression.”

He's absolutely a centre back, but one who's capable of playing right back, as we saw last night.

    Weird, not according to Hughton..

As he said himself in the quote you put up, he's played a lot at RB, but he's certainly flexible which is why he ended up playing more at CB for Brighton - if I recall they had a senior player (can't remember his name) who came back from injury and ended up playing at RB in front of Tomori so they deployed him at CB to give him a chance.

Youth players at these 'big' clubs seem to play everywhere and anywhere from what I can gather. James Weir was another who doesn't actually seem to have a proper position.

Worry for Weir is that Tomori is good anywhere across the back four - Weir doesn't seem good anywhere!

I said I would like Barmby with the others

I then said it'll never happen.

Weir was a left winger when he captained the Man United U21's, as he's never played there for us, we've no idea how good he'd be there.

He was included in the Man United first team squad on eight occasions under Louis Van Gall, they must have seen something in him.

They have, they pay the bills, Hinchcliffe and Buchanan never paid for anything.

Can't help thinking there are rose-tinted glasses on Barmby as a manager. We struggled with a similar sort of 4-3-3/4-5-1 when he was here, struggled for goals (he got fed up with Fryatt because he wasn't comfortable playing as the one central striker) and he was very negative and uncommunicative in his dealings with the media. Plus I might be wrong but I always had the sense he thought he was God's gift to football and everyone would just be desperate to learn from him. The decision to sack him and replace him with Bruce was ruthless but from a footballing point of view I felt was right.

Slutsky now telling Humberside he would accept being sacked by the club .... the biggest pressure is myself ..... I don't satisfy my level now .....

Quite probably that's from the heart.

Quite probably he thinks / knows he was stitched up from day one by the twats, and that he has tried but just cannot work with them in charge.

Also, quite possible that he's being a bit cute, knowing that if he's sacked he will be free of the idiot Allams, and get some compo as well.

Now we should start looking for someone whose managed a crackpot club recently and knows what Sluts has had to put up with. Someone like Simon Grayson .... oh.

He's been completely ****ed over by the Allams. When you have a defence as **** as ours, there's not much you can do to change it when you don't have the players available to improve the situation. I don't blame the Slut, I blame **** chops Ehab.

By my crude calculations the club will be virtually debt free (or have the cash in the bank to be free of debt) by the end of this season.

Obviously depends on what they spend in January.

Once they have sold Bowen I think they will have just about squeezed the pips out of the club.just two parachute payments to collect and they will be off

I'm sure that you are right about Bowen and the parachute payments. But I think they're so ****ing vindictive, that they won't go until the club is no more.

Two payments - not unless they are paid in installments each season? There is only one more season of parachute money to come as we went straight back down.
