I don't disagree with the idea, but we've played the same kind of system at this level before. Under Barmby we played 4-2-3-1 every week with Koren in the hole and two out-and-out wingers. It worked pretty well. Maybe the answer is that Koren, although not exactly a battler, was more interested in covering ground and getting involved than Henriksen is. Maybe it isn't simply that they're going through us but that we aren't keeping the ball well enough. If you're on the back foot all the time you're going to struggle no matter what the formation is.
We certainly need to keep the bloody ball. It's what you score with and it stops the oppo doing what they want. Simples really
Yeah, there's no question we're not keeping the ball well enough. And true, the 4-2-3-1 might well work if we have the right man at 10 - but until Toral's fit again I don't think we will. Anyway, the apparent news that Grosicki won't be starting throws everything up in the air now for tonight. Hope that doesn't mean Campbell is going to be shunted out of position.
I'm hardly surprised - if there are Four Seasons in One Day, then 45 minutes = about 1.5 matches. [EDIT Subsequent calculations make it almost 6 matches, not 1.5.]
If he plays 45 minutes thats 1/32 of the 24hrs that the club will be sold in...no wonder he’s exhausted, that’s months!
Is there any wonder football fans are losing the passion when these ****s get paid millions to be ****ing tired.
Good job you didn’t listen to them too, you’d be out for a minimum 24 hours maybe even an Evandro if you caught the wrong tracks.
Christ, it's not like he's said himself that he's desperate for a rest has he? Slutsky has just said it's a reason for his poor performances. It's perfectly valid science. Like Bruce always used to say, they could play every day if you want them to, but they won't do as well. Yes, they get paid well, but they're still human beings.
