Who the F is Adam le Fondre, and why do people think a "nothing special" div 4 player is the one to save us? I've seen him over the years and he's about as good as Will Hoskins (with the ego to match). There are 2 goalscorers in Div 4 who I prefer - Ashley Grimes (watch out for his Dad), and Jack Richards. It is said that Le Fondre would cost £500k+, don't waste the money on him.

Oh and by the way, would this new signing replace Marvin Sordell? You must be joking, think again folks!

In a way I'm surprised no one seems to have dusted off the names of Jamie Cureton and Clinton Morrison - after all they are both "only plying their trade in Div 3". Oh and "Bell Ends" like Will Hoskins and Steve Kabba are on long term contracts, so I can't see them leaving their "safe havens".

By the way I am joking!

    Who?

Do you mean Marc of Port Vale or Justin from Burton...

Ashley Grimes was at Millwall then moved on loan to Lincoln and now with Rochdale in "Division 3"

    ;)

Interesting to read the thoughts of people who went..

They say we were pretty rubbish (as were Coventry) yet had 11 shots on target which makes you think what good we could do with a proven striker and some more attacking threat in terms of pace!

Sounds like we played better yesterday. Can't be coincidence that CI wasn't there could it?

Well i think the stats show just how well we did play and how unlucky we were and how good the Cov keeper was. We had 12 shots on target and none of them went in, and supposedly had 3/4 shouts for a pen.

This shows good improvement but i do worry that we will play very well, but then not get the decisions and end up burning out. Forsyth is showing signs of fatigue already, maybe a rest against BR wil do him good.

    Couldn't get to game today-work!
From what I've read we were unlucky not to have got 1 or 2 penalties, made numerous chances and Coventry goalkeeper made some great saves- reminds me of the Derby game and look where they are now,we played them off the park. That's what a win does for a teams confidence so let's have a win sooner rather than later and hopefully we'll move up the table...and SD please find a scorer, I as a matter of opinion don't think CO is a bad signing but should be used as a sub for the last 20-30 minutes. Sean, IMO what frustrates supporters a lot is if the permutation doesn't work you need to alter it earlier.

nearly 24 hours on, still feeling pretty fraustrated. Some are saying we were not that bad. yes, but we were not that good either. I was hoping to see at least one of the penalty appeals on The Championship, but as usual it failed to deliver. Still also fed up about the food prices at Cov and the fact that the hot chocolate that I bought to share with Mini Bloother, for which I paid £2, was basicall hot p**s water. I still think that squad is capable of better, but one or two changes needed.

By the way, the Watford fan who had a 'fit' yesterday, I understand that it was an epileptic fit. Fortunately the two 'Orns who attended him were a male and female nurse. Well done to them and my best wishes to out to him (and his son who looked a bit lost).

Having watched the Hornetsplayer highlights and read all the write-ups i can and watched the FL show i have to say Watford were very very unlucky and were denied 3 points by a ref who must have lost his balls on the drive in!! He missed Deeney get brought down as he went to shoot in the first half, but unfortunately for us he still managed to make contact with the ball so the ref waved play on, and then in the 2nd half the player went to ground and slid straight through Sordell as Marv flicked the ball over his head.

It shows some improvement, but we can only see what happens at home on sunday.
