Northolt do you think they will change ticket prices or not?

And what impact (if any) will this have for away fans in your opinion? I haven't been to Loftus Road before and I'd love to go just in case QPR go down but prices will be hefty, unfortunately I'm not in contact with my cousins that support QPR so it would be unlikely I could visit LR unless Chelsea are playing there

I know you are not Fernandes himself but you seem well read on these matters so your opinion would be much appreciated <ok>

Certain to now, they wouldn't build this up to an announcement that they were staying the same!

I really am terrible. I put a bet on you to beat Bolton and this week a bet on you to lose to Everton <doh>

Thankfully Scunthorpe equalised at Charlton otherwise it would have just been your game that messed up my 30/1 accumulator <doh>

I hope they announce a reduction for away fans, even if it were just a mere £5/10 or something I feel it would change away fans views on coming to LR this season.

I think away fans would begrudgingly part with £40 but not £50. I follow Tony Fernandes on Twitter and he seems like a top guy, good to have football clubs back in the hands of decent owners <ok>

Would be nice to get a bit of a rebate on my season tickets!! Presumably they'll have to do something for season ticket holders as well as general seat prices? They'll be uproar if they don't won't there?

Totally agree RangerCol, it would make buying a season ticket a lot less value for money if all other prices were ammnded other than "pre paid" tickets. I am sure that they will take this into account however

If the ST prices do go down that will be a massive PR boost for the new regime and a final nail in the Bernie / Flav era. Long may it continue!

Having already parted with the money chaps, would u rather have the money back or see it invested properly with new players and a better standard of football?

Difficult one this because it you want success it has to be paid for. The outrage felt at the Goons' hikes related to the austere circumstances and lack of investment in success involved.

Now we have ambitious, caring owners, the club's financial stability is the major objective. Whilst other income streams are there, some actual, others in potential awaiting the waving our our new CEO, Philip Beard's magic wand, the facts on simple ticket income are as follows:

    18,000 x £50 = £900k
    15,000 x £50 = £750k

    18,000 x £35 = £630k
    15,000 x £35 = £525k

As I said the other day, set ticket income against players' wages at a conservatively average £20k per week times an estimated 35 man squad (£700k) and the realities of club ownership and stability start to become apparent.

Tbh, I would much rather pay £35 than £50 to watch my team BUT if I really want to show support for a positive, forward looking Rs project, I might have to think again.

BrixtonR, one small but important addition. Our players get paid every week. We don't have a home game once a week! In fact, only 19/52 weeks have a home game!!

I think you're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think they'll reduce prices or refund season tickets by 30%. I reckon 10% would be a result with prices frozen for a couple of seasons. The fact they sold out shows Bernie was right in thinking supporters would renew anyway. The club is a business and 10% would be an affordable PR coup for Fernandes.

What do u reckon Nothholt ? how much will the reduce it by and will ST holders get a rebate? Great PR by the club if they do sanction something. Reckon Amit would have something to do with this .

I tweeted numerous time last week to both TF AND AB regarding a rebate for those that have purchased ST or some sort or reward (if tickets on a match to match basis are lowered)...TF answered numerous fans questions but both ignored my question completely. I would be so annoyed if they lowered ticket prices but the deduction was not past on to st holders.

Us season ticket holders got a rebate a couple of years ago, 5% off the price gave a voucher for about £25 if memory serves. If the new owner refunds the cost of one match it would make the cost of my current ST easier to swallow. In the SkySports interview tickets were mentioned but not confirmed that they were going to drop, only for the position to be clarified in the next week or so. My guesses would be a) rebate for ST holders and a drop of between £5 and £10 for home tickets or b) confirmation that prices will be frozen at current rates for at least one more season if we manage to stay up.

Amit supposedly left because of the price hike and now he is back a drop would seem on the cards.

They're most unlikely to drop the price of walk up and keep STs as are.

There's trading standard problems with that, due to the advertising.
