The Jumps boys got anything for me for a on course brown envelope job at Aintree tomorrow? Tough card
I will give you a few to consider; CLOUDY TOO 1:50 who has a nice prep with this in mind. (16/1) SHANTOU VILLAGE 3:00 who I think still has a lot of improvement to come (6/1) GREEGALAGH GIRL 4:10 who looked very smart when winning a Perth bumper on rules debut (9/2) Have a great day and do not forget the clocks go back tonight!
Off to Aintree myself tomorrow but the one I like is at Wincanton. I thought FARM THE ROCK made a nice debut over fences behind SCEAU ROYAL lto and 14-1 ew seems very fair in the 2.10.
Another one to consider in the 13.50 is The Romford Pele. Seems to have been a bit of a monkey having been pulled up in his last 3 races but I keep looking at his race in Jan last year at Cheltenham where, in receipt of just 8lb, he finished only 14l 3rd behind the great Thistlecrack. In that race Ptit Zig was only 2l ahead of him in 2nd (levels) and Camping Ground and Young Master well behind. He is certainly bred for the game. He has changed stables and if the change of scenery works and he can reproduce that form he could walk this. Big IFs but worth having a look in the paddock and watching the market.
The first and final races look crackers with a few promising types. I would leave them alone. I have sneaky feeling in the 14.25 could provide some cash for a lovely job in the 15.35. If not pile on Cloudy Dream in between. Have a great day
Traffic Fluide 14/1 , the moore operation in top form at the moment and this fellow has his best days ahead , can front run or lay off the pace .,flat track here should suit , also like harry fry and noel fehily when they team up , Bags Groove 6/1 looks a live one , but competitive racing all the same , have a great day !
3.00 Aintree SHANTOU VILLAGE 11/2 This is one I’ve liked since his bumper win, looked to have the world at his feet early on in his novice hurdle season but the wheels somewhat came off after picking up a knock in the Albert Bartlett that season. Won four from five chases last season so hardly a disaster but never seemed to finish his races like he should have been doing, and subsequently there sounds to have been minor issues. Reportedly back to the horse he looked two years ago, this second season chaser should run amok off tomorrow’s mark if they’ve him back to himself.
Have been having a look at the Aintree card and have managed to pick one from each race that I fancy - with the exception of two races. 2:25 - Torn between Bags Groove and Sneaky feeling (no doubt Ron is hoping I go for Bags groove ) 3:00 - Between Boevrueil and Shantou Tiger. Maybe a night sleeping on it will help me decide tomorrow.
Good morning gentlemen. After a good sleep, things aren't any clearer this morning, so if you want some winners, it would be advisable to steer clear of these. AINTREE e/w L15. 1240 - Perfect Harmony (13/2) 115 - Shantou Tiger (6/1) 150 - Benbens (9/2) 225 - Bags Groove (5/1) e/w patent 300 - Ballybolley (11/1) 335 - Matorico (14/1) 410 - L'chamise (18/1) e/w singles & e/w double 115 - verygoodverygood (10/1) 150 - Baileys Concerto (14/1) Apologies if I have put the kiss of death on anyone's selection. Happy hunting gents.
1.35 Wincanton-SAM BROWN -7/4 Was very impressed with him in his bumpers, which included a bumper win here beating the very talented LaLor who went on to win a grade 2 bumper he then went off odds on the other day (and although he was beaten he didn’t run badly.) he went in my tracker after his second bumper win and looks very exciting prospect to hurdles and fancy him to beat the Nicholls hot shot
In the veterans chase at Aintree (1.50) Astracad looks to have plenty going for him. He absolutely goes best fresh and has won on seasonal debut the last 2 seasons (off a mark of 131 last season at Cheltenham, 2m 4f Gd, gd-s in places; in 2015 off a mark of 130 at Chepstow 2m 4f Gd). He goes off a mark of 130 today with trip and ground to suit and, although he has never won at Aintree, this is the first time he has been here after a break (apart from at the 2013 Grand National meeting where he fell at the 3rd). With the yard in great form I expect another big run on seasonal debut and there are bits of 14/1 about him this morning.
Malcolm Jefferson has chosen not to run Waiting Patiently (who I think is going to the very top over fences) in the Old Roan, relying instead on Cloudy Dream. Take the hint, 5/1 this morning
Not really original but having looked at the Irish cards its mostly Elliotts that I fancy anyway so picked out 4 of his for trebles and acca. 12:50 Wex Icario 9/4 2:00 Wex Hardline 3/1 2:15 Gal Canny Tom 9/2 4:20 Wex Best Of Dubai 5/4 Could have picked out more of his but will go with those 4.
Gary Moore's filly Nalinka De La Mare caught my eye on pedigree before her bumper debut at Ludlow and she ran a race full of promise, finishing 4th having run well for a very long way and just giving best to more experienced rivals in the last couple of furlongs. Worth an e/w dabble at 16/1 in this.
On the Blind Side in the first at Aintree could be very good and highly thought of by yard. Done it in a single 9/4 and also doubled it with Cluann Dara.Could do with a winner after Bolger horse flopped yday.ps good to see you posting Fabio
A couple of trainer Tom George's might run well at Aintree today, Call Me Vic (1:50) and Stamp Your Feet (2:25). (Did our clocks early, Stick!).
