Wonderfull result! Great spirit throughout..just so typical of Rangers beating one of the top boys after a few poor results! Onwards and upwards
I'll be over for the Sheff. Utd game. I am really buzzing after watching today's game. Another performance like this one, please! I thought Robinson was really good today, but then again every player did their bit.
Lots of good performances today but MotM for me was Jack Robinson. A hugely influential performance by the youngster who didn't put a foot wrong. He's beginning to look like a really great find. On the other end of the scale was the ineffectual efforts of Sylla who can't hold the ball up due to a poor first touch, is a bit too short to win many headers and who has little instinct for goal. Washington really showed him how it's meant to be done today.
So good to hear Robinson and Washington played well today. Really want to see both of them hit their real potential and be able to contribute to the good results. Both have had a long difficult road and still keep sticking to it and deserve success with us.
Totally agree re Robinson - absolute class. I thought Lynch and Bidwell were very good today too, whilst Baptiste deserved shooting for letting his man get past him to the bye-line for their goal, when he had ample opportunity to take him out. Just take a yellow if necessary. The midfield three - our strongest department - found it difficult today against a very good opposition midfield, but certainly held their own. A great block tackle from Luongo to set up Washington, who finished superbly (Mackie really must never start ahead of him), but sadly the lead lasted a only a few minutes, thanks to Baptiste's ineptitude. I groaned when Smith came on (as I always do), but he did what he's there to do and got on the end a cross from Lynch (of all people) to score what was a just about deserved winner. We really are not far from being a decent side in this league. Play-offs here we come.
Unfortunately very late to this as I had to spend all afternoon in local hospital with aged mother after her latest fall and as we know hospitals are blocked getting mobile signals due to x-ray facilities so info was very hit and miss. Isn't today the sort of day why we all love this flawed little club from West London, can't beat the bottom sides but can put one over the league leaders...... Same again on Tuesday please lads but let's all enjoy tonight.... U R'S
So what's going on here? We 1 They (Mackems) 1, We 1 They (Bolton) 1 We 2 They (Wolves) 1 Draws with the bottom 2 and win against leaders (or were). I know we were at home today and on the road for the draws but what is going on here? I sure do hope this trend continues on Tuesday evening
Much longer report tomorrow...but absolutely awesome.. I disagree 're Baptiste and the goal. The player (jota?) held him off brilliantly. If he had tackled it would have been a penalty and a red card The back 3 especially Robinson were immense. Conor was immense. Midfielders were immense. They had better players than we we did. We wanted much more than they did. Got to say over the 90 minutes we really deserved it.. Haven't had a match like that for 6 years
Great performance today. What we lack in quality we made up for in grit and determination. Every Rangers player was closing down and pressing the Wolverines giving them no time to play. The midfield trinity were all superb with Luongo getting my man of the match. He was all over the pitch tackling, heading and passing and setting up our first goal. As for their goal, Baptiste should've booted Jota into the East Paddock forty yards further up the pitch and taken the yellow. A good day and a good game and three points that I didn't see coming. URsss
We lose to the bottom teams and but beat the leaders .....the soap opera that is QPR, continues. Sounds like the team had a great win. It’s nice to have that winning feeling again
