A great team performance didn't produce the result that many thought we deserved. Let us hope that Stoke do not come with the intention of playing a spoiling game as they did on the last visit, but it is likely that Mark Hughes will play whatever game he believes will ease their current position just outside the relegation zone. While Watford are very happy with Marco Silva, Stoke fans are certainly not feeling very good about their boss. "Watford looked really good at Chelsea and were unlucky to lose. We seem to have no fight, no tactical plan, no cohesion, nothing at all." "I hope we are surprised with an unexpected 3 points but I'm worried it'll be 3-0 or 4-0." Team News: Roberto Pereyra will be missing with some hamstring problem which is not expected to keep him out for too long. Sebastian Prödl and Younès Kaboul, meanwhile, are still sidelined. We believe in the next few days and even a week that they will start to do full training with the team. For Stoke Xherdan Shaqiri missed Saturday's game with an ankle injury but he should be back. Martins-Indi is probably out, but Shawcross came back last week and it's a big boost to have him available. please log in to view this image Michael Oliver will take charge of Watford's home game with Stoke City. He was in charge of their dramatic draw at West Brom last month, which saw Tony Pulis fume at both the amount of added-on time and the decision to award the last-gasp free-kick which the Hornets equalised from. WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD - ENJOY THE GAME
Always worry about games where we expect to win as we never seem to do so! And no doubt Stoke are due a clean sheet...plus will be strong from set plays which we haven't defended well. On form we ought to win though - the likes of Deeney will sort out the physical defenders. Merson has us down to win - Lawro once again thinks we won't.
Wins against Stoke and Everton and we can really stamp our early 'authority' on a potential top ten finish. However, we are Watford and not used to such heights and the wheels usually come off now and again. All I ask for is a decent performance and that the players put 100% in. ¡¡COYH!!
Me doodling with a website I just stumbled across... http://www.footballwhispers.com/blo...-pls?predictive-lineup=9650#predictive-lineup Seems to work - but I can't see how to embed the image it creates...
Match day and the anticipation starts to build. Lawro has us as a draw! I think Richarlison's luck has to turn and someone is going to suffer. 3-1 Enjoy one and all
I’m just going into this one being a little more cautious. Obviously been going so well we just need to make sure we’re ready for a Stoke team. Think it was the March 2016 1-2 game where they won the toss and switched ends going towards the Vic Road end first half, seemed to unnerve us straight away. Need to be ready for anything they might throw at us. Be setting off at 11.30 so COYH!
