angus young @angus_young61 Bruising morning session at @groundsmenhull tribunal. SMC pressing case that Darrell Cook carried out Hull FC duties during SMC work time.
Bugger, no decision today... angus young @angus_young61 Barristers about to give final statements. I'm expecting judgement will be reserved to a later date.
Maybe no news is good news? We were expecting a decision in Allams favour. Maybe it's not so cut and dried?
Some of the grounds men's answers are very funny. When shown cctv footage of him working for hull fc fan when he should have been carrying out his grounds men duties.
angus young @angus_young61 As forecast, judgement has been reserved in the @groundsmenhull tribunal. We'll find out the result in a few weeks.
Why want them to win, what's a fair crack of the whip? He was moonlighting while working for us. I posted way back in this thread, he's done it, we know he's done it, the club know he's done it. Proving it is quite difficult as he is in the ground whe both jobs are.
There's two of them involved and only one did anything for FC. The one that did help out as FC kit man only got £65 for working on a match day, we never play a match on the same day as FC, so it's unlikely it had any effect on his work for us. It wasn't a sackable offence anyway, they should have just had a word and told him to jack it in if it bothered them. They didn't get a fair crack of the whip, because they were sacked out of petulance and a kangaroo court appeal was dismissed by the same bloke who sacked them.
You really believe he hung the fc kit out a full day before an fc game? Really?? It's bollocks. He's been doing it and his mate has colluded with it. Wonder if the tax man will be giving him a call about the 65 quid a game for the last twenty years.
I have absolutely no idea what kit duties he did for FC, or when he did them, neither does the tribunal, they've been arguing about it all day. I really don't give a **** if the bloke had two jobs, if the SMC were unhappy with what he was doing, they should have sorted it out, there was no need to sack him and absolutely no reason at all to sack his mate. The current case is about Ehab trying to justify his knee-jerk sackings, if he loses, I'm having a gin.
Just in the name of accuracy, he wasn't working for us, he worked for the SMC maintaining the pitch for both clubs.
I'll be having a gin either way. You've followed this avidly but have no interest in what he did for fc. For 65 quid I imagine he must have been doing at least 6 hours work for them. I don't see how he fits that in with his proper job.
The SMC knew he was working as the FC kit man and did **** all about it until they had to come up with an excuse to sack him. He claims he was working for FC in his own time, the SMC say he wasn't, I've no way of knowing who's lying. But if the SMC's lips are moving, I'm assuming it's them.
the taxman doesn't have time to worry about the odd £1300 a year for someone probably below the minimum threshold anyway.
#AskEhab They'd both been doing the job over 25 years, it took them a hell of a long time to realise they weren't up to it.
