Is it worth watching?

 

Undecided, only 4 eps in.

Always found it frustrating with Gotham there are the Batman villians and there is no Batman (only Bruce), instead they're all being taken down by Jim Gordon.

 

Yep, exactly the same. Why is Batman even needed when the commissioner is a superhero in his own right?

Plus, no wonder Batman was so good, he's a lot younger than everyone else!

 

I get that they're wanting to use the more interesting villains, but Batman is supposed to be the reason some of them exist, like the Joker (who is rumoured to be coming in S4).
Sort of takes that edge of the Batman story that in becoming a Superhero to fight traditional crime, he creates a whole new criminal (ie the Super villain).

Think they need to move the Batman story on quicker if they are going to keep the show going.

 

Last series available on Netflix it moved the batman story on much more than previous. Some very good episodes in it.

The best is actually not the series finale.

It also seemed a lot more violent than previous series. I gave up for a while because of pretty much all that you pointed out above and then went back and binged. The last series (on Netflix can't remember what season no it actually is) was good enough that I will start the next.

 

TWD s8e1... Very good if not unpredictable. Set up nicely for a good opening three or four episodes before the inevitable lower key period prior to the mid season finale

 

Yeah it was decent. Don't get what they were doing with the future scenes though. I didn't get the point.

 

GLOW was surprisingly good.

 

Have to say that even though I'm a fan of TWD, I watched last night and thought once again that we need a direction and need to head toward an ending.

 

As a non watcher even I thought this was the season where the English lad pretending to be an ex Sherrif mans up and they battle for liberty and justice or something. Is this not the case?

 

Rick swings back and fore from family man and needing to man up to a psychotic lunatic quite often.

 

I often watch Talking Dead afterwards. On there, one of the writers said it was only the beginning Hopefully, he meant the Rick v Negen bake rather than TWD as a while.

 

Nor did I, I'm sure all will be revealed in time

 

I know some of the story and it's quite good, there's a group of bad guys that will also come into it calle The Whisperers. There's deffor more to come but they should build to an ending.

 

What would you lot suggest I get into watching.

Watched breaking bad on binge 2 years ago while in Korea. Like a bit of the blacklist. Seen GOT. Tried to get into Tin Star but struggled.

Need something to hook me and get me through the winter

God no! David Fincher (Fight Club) directing, very well done and good performances.

 

Will have to get me some of that then, the following managed one and a half episodes and no more

 

I watched some of season 1 and binned it. Terrible stuff.
