An ice arena in the middle of city centre will do better than the current one on the opposite side of the A63 to the rest of the city centre.
Not so sure. I reckon people will want free and/or decent parking if they go ice skating, can't see that around Bond Street.
There’ll be a lot of teens there at the weekend shopping who came on bus etc and will pop in. Swings and roundabouts.
I wouldn’t dispute any of that. It was busier than I’ve seen in ages on the ground floor, but I can only speak as I find and the outlet floor really was very very quiet. I suspect a lot of people went when Next first opened, saw that there wasn’t much there and might not have been back since, hopefully Christmas shopping will bring them back in
Most venues keep the ice for the entire hockey season, just some are better at hiding it than others. Having said that, I don’t think we’re talking about building a 20000 seat music/ice arena here.
