SIR RODERIC 8/1 Windsor 3;10 Several good reasons for backing this horse. He cannot remember the last time he was off 83 but he is a winner off 90. He loves a bit of juice in the ground. His record at the track and trip is two wins from three starts. In addition they have jocked up Rab Havlin to ride him for the first time and he is just the sort of strong jockey to get the best out of this lad. Over at Plumpton I took 5/1 for HIGHWAY ONE_O_ONE earlier and he is being backed. I was mega impressed with his bumper run a few weeks ago and I thought he looked a horse that would be even better when tackling obstacles. I think Chris Gordon has a little star here!
Jamie Codd riding in the last at Windsor I know he evens but he surely hasn’t come down to go on the boat ride!
Sentimental reasons mainly but Venetian Lad at Plumpton at 14s is just not right, the old boy loves racing and Marc goldstein is back aboard, sure he has weight, but he definitely has a chance, being a track stalwart. Flowing Clarets 3 40 Windsor, must also have a good chance, won a year ago here on this cd in this ground, bridgers horses running well, lastly why has James Ewart sent Gilmer to Windsor all that way for a small race!
Sitting in a great wee Belgian bar in old town Benidorm. Hoegaarden in a chilled glass for me and leffe blonde for the Mrs. Enjoy your Monday punts guys
Sitting in a cafe near Harlech. Average coffee for us and a fruit shoot for the boy. It's grey and very miserable but it beats working.
Couldn't agree more, Chaninbar. Grey, miserable, and only 8°C. and quite chilly here, but, as you say, beats the hell out of working!
Form of Smart Boy in the 17:30 at Plumpton, is nothing to write home about, but neither is that of the rest of them. Plumpton is most definitely not the track to have a serious bet IMHO, funny little tight course for hurdlers and chasers. Enjoyable day out though, been there a few times, Will try to get 8/1 or 15/2 for a modest wager.
