Don't be scared Stoo. It's just the body's natural fight or flight reaction to being the underdog. I am not a threat to you, my crystal ball tells me you may have other vegetable related ailments in the future though... it's on the blink so it could be wrong, just be careful when you're picking them soily delights.

I've got views for both cards and cash.

I much prefer to use contactless than chip & pin, the same with my phone, prefer to use fingerprint when accessing accounts again rather than using passwords. It just makes it all clean and simple.

The downside of contactless is the maximum spend limit. I've not used andriod pay yet but believe the limit is higher.

However, the downside to all this is this is precisely the views that the banks and inland revenue want to hear, if they had their way they would do away with cash, hence why they are spending so much money investing in the new technology. I think as the generations move on we will see a cashless society.

Why do I see this as a downside...already our every movement is monitored 24/7 in this country, whether it be CCTV, ANPR, the locator on your mobile phone, or toll booths that are moving to number plate recognition instead of coin buckets. I feel 100% digital tracking of monetary movements will be the final nail in the coffin that the government would desire in monitoring the movement of it citizens.

So as much has i prefer the convenience of cards i would never want a 100% card/digital transaction society. It's not about not having anything to hide, but more about your freedom to do what you want to do without being tracked! I just feel we are all being tracked to an extent and in a manner that treats you all as potential future criminals, which then borders on becoming a dictatorship.
