He had a child in his arms ffs, but the reaction from the Lyon players were as bad they were trying to hit the **** even though he was holding the toddler.

Sheer madness caused by Williams and he only got a yellow.

 

Problem is that the behaviour of the guy in the crowd is the sort of thing that the authorities will look to punish the club for. I expect we'll see some investigation into the whole incident.
While I understand the ref not wanting to get physically involved in a brawl, it seems off to just stand aside and wait until everyone's finished twatting everyone else, and then just issue a tame yellow to either side.

 

The soft twat holding the child(as stupid as he is)will be the main scapegoat, but like I said I was also disgusted at some Lyon players throwing digs at the feller holding the child.
Williams was a pure **** for needlessly pushing their keeper into the hoardings and causing the ****, he must have felt vindicated when he scored but he was partially at fault for their winner for not getting goal side of the player before he put the ball through.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The media jump on those things of course, and the club will carry the can. The steward obviously should be doing something because surely that's what he's there for?
I see there's going to be a police investigation now. Hopefully it'll all get dealt with quickly and quietly without turning a moment of stupidity into a circus.

 

I'm not a fan of professional security companies doing stewarding, as they tend to be overly officious meat heads, but I think we'll end up having to go down that route after this.
