About to board a mallorca bound budgie so Bonnets Vino at Fakenham for the superb trainer Pam Sly, sure to be primed 7/1seems very generous for this dual cd winner!
Redcar for me tomorrow gang.... All tips welcome I'm there on badges so if I hear anything will post but don't do your wheel barrows in As always Stay Frosty xx
Stanarley Pic 8/1 in the 2:35 looks worth a go to me. Last two runs over course and distance were a 1st and a 2nd so seems to like the track. Not the most prolific of horses but price just about generous enough if you’re into playing each way. Enjoy your day
Katie Walsh over to ride RELEVANT in the 4:55, take the hint. Have a grand day out Bro. See you at Cheltenham in March
Here’s a question for the long term regular readers. Can you recall what Mr Henderson did with Lieutenant Miller at Pontefract a few years back??? In exactly the same race it would appear that someone else may have similar plans! With one that I’ve mentioned on the forum several times as well! Intriguing with a huge capital ‘I’.
One to look out for at Redcar this afternoon might be Limato’s little sister, Limoncino (4.20), who makes her racecourse debut. She’s obviously had her problems though, to be making such a belated bow, as she is only just over a couple of months away from her 4th birthday. Not backing her but she's the one of huge interest, at the meet, for me.
I thought Liuetenant Miller was a bumper horse that pulled up on debut then came out and won....but that wouldn't be Ponte!
After 11 runs in the NH sphere the great man transferred the Lieutenant to the level. He duly went ‘ooooooooooooooooooooop’ to Ponty and won, on his Flat bow, a conditions heat beating horses, at level weights, rating in the 100’s. Still think this was one of the training performances of our age. Have a look at the same conditions heat at Ponty, on Monday. It would appear that another trainer may have similar ambitions – with one, coincidentally, that I’ve mentioned many times.
There's an interesting one running at Wincanton today - not from a betting perspective, but with an eye to the future. Dan Mcgrue for Mr Nicholls in the Maiden Hurdle at 4.00. Point-to-point and bumper winner, this looks like a shrewd investment by Mr Barber with a view to becoming a staying chaser. I'd be surprised if he isn't gracing the winners enclosure today but quotes of 4/5 look a tad skinny.
Have a great vacation, Rudey, and will have a bit on Bonnets Vino for sure. Thanks. Next time, do consider Albatross Airlines, very reasonable and more legroom than Budgie Airlines provide. Found it quite exciting too.
