    Thanks for posting this Matster - a fascinating read. I agree that it is our midfield's defensive work that is the basis for our current form (and the springboard for our counter-attacks) and that Nolan has been the stand-out player so far. I would also say that from what I have seen of Nolan so far he is a better player than Ryan Woods because of his threat in attack as we saw on Tuesday. The only midfield we have had that is remotely as good as our current one is the one that GT assembled in the year of 79. Our attack then was (with the exception of Maguire) quite average but we just wore teams down with the workrate and organisation in midfield.
