Its true though, exactly the same sort of bullshit we heard about Benitez from a large portion of our & opposition fans. How great the likes of Hodgson etc. were doing on a tiny budget compared to Rafa who was getting millions to spend and should be challenging for the title. People actually thought someone with 30+ years experience of failure and disappointment would do better than a multiple league and trophy winning manager.

Just as was the case 7 years ago, the foundations and resources that have been put in place are nowhere near good enough to consistently hit the high expectations the media and fan base have of our team. Ever since David Moores became chairman we have had 3 different owners, all of whom have been god awful and setting our managers up for an almighty fall when they inevitably fail to hit the unrealistic expectations of challenging teams with huge resources and a good support network for the manager.

About time Kenny was acknowledged. He is a legend of football as a genius player and a top manager. Nice bloke too.

Shame someone from owners didn’t turn up, but sure Kenny doesn’t care, he has what he deserves.

I saw a bit of the ceremony as LFC Tv showed it live on Facebook. They played YNWA on the bagpipes, as KG is Scottish I suppose, probably seemed like a good idea in the PR department, but christ it was painful on the ears.

A woman I worked with once, she was in her 40's at the time, was telling me about how someone who worked with us had split up with his girlfriend, who worked for us on the floor above.

I asked " Why did they split up"

She replied "He was scared of the "C" word"

Without thinking I said "What bloke is scared of c*nt"

She said "Commitment, idiot" and reported me to the manager. Needless to say the interview with the manager was difficult, as he tried to tear a strip off me whilst keeping a straight face.
