Has to be all about the returning NATAVIA, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, for me at Newmarket of the morrow (the ‘lucky last’, 5.20). This old girl made a decent start to her career, back in the second half of April, finishing a promising 2nd in a decent maiden at this course. She then stepped up on that performance markedly to take a Listed event at Newbury over 10 furlongs, under Ryan Moore, by 3.75 lengths. That was a very, and I do mean very, taking performance, troops. However, the owner (or his racing manager) then made the somewhat baffling decision to catapult such an inexperienced filly (6 weeks prior she hadn’t even run!) into the Oaks – even more strange as he already had Enable in the race! The occasion and the unique track got the better of Natavia that day and she trailed in well beaten. That form though is by no means her true running, pilgrims, and she has been given time to get over the Epsom experience. Natavia has a wonderful pedigree being a daughter of Nathaniel and a half-sister to the Group 1 winner, Spinning Queen. Like he did with Herculean a few weeks ago Mr Charlton (who is in sensational form with, at the time of writing, his last 4 runners all winning) wastes no silliness with jockey bookings and has gone straight out and secured the services of, the best in the business, Ryan Moore (who is 1/1 aboard Natavia). I would be surprised, people, if she got beat. Good luck all.
CLUB TROPICANA 12/1 Kempton 6:45 She has a RPR of 103 compared to the jolly who has a rating of 92. In addition she is getting 7lbs. She is 12/1 and the jolly is 11/4. There is nothing wrong with those ratings, she has very good form and form on the track. She was flying too high in the Rockfel last time but still put up a fair performance and this of course represents a huge drop in class. Not to be missed, although I doubt that price will last the night! Down at Gods own racecourse surely if FLYING ANGEL turns up in peak condition he will brush these aside. Even giving the weight away he looks a cut above this.
Have had to 'down stake' today as there are so many that I fancy, whether they fancy me though, is a totally different matter <yiikes> Plus the fact that I am working from 11 until close, means I wouldn't be able to get a bet on. Ah well, it gives me something to watch if it's quiet tonight For your amusement - and if you want to back some winners, might be an idea to steer clear of this little lot NMKT - 5p e/w L15 1:50 - Sound and Silence 2:25 - Gavota 3:00 - Limato 3:35 - Happily 10p e/w patent 410 - Duke of Bronte 4:45 - Angel's Glory 5:20 - Natavia YORK 5p e/w L15 2:10 - Ginbar 2:45 - One Word more 3:20 - Harrogate 3:55 - The Grand Visir 10p e/w patent 4:30 - Just another bottle 5:05 - Cosa Nostra 5:35 - Shady McCoy Newton Abbot - 10p e/w patent 3:10 - Sir mangan 4:20 - G for Ginger 5:25 - Crooks Peak KEMPTON - 5p e/w L15 5:45 - Justice Rock 6:15 - Foxy Forever 6:45 - Cavatina 7:15 - Dark Blue 5p e/w L15 7:45 - Melodies 8:15 - Psychotic 8:45 - Cool Team 9:15 - Pastoral Music KEMPTON 6:45 Club Tropicana (£1 e/w) Hopefully some of these will come in and give me some to play with tomorrow

I think NATAVIA is more than a fair price right now but I’ve spoken enough about her. Re tomorrow’s ‘Cesarewitch’ am I the only one who has looked at that field, lamented for half an hour about Coeur De Lion not getting in, and then exclaimed, ‘Cor bally blinkin’ blimey! What are those terrible old rogues up to with Friday Night Light’. The stable have history in the race having won it twice and have had a couple of placings, in the heat, these past 10 years. A perch of 86 looks reasonable given his form across The Channel as well. Not the greatest draw but 50/1 looks massive.
Same thoughts as you Barney and put it in an each way double with Raucous who I fancy for the sprint in York - Was going to top up with singles and a double in the morning but the draw is putting me off and might lean towards a Shrewd bet
The Fillies Mile at HQ, The Skeltons on fire at Newton Abbot and typically wide open races at York - what a Friday. Well, amidst all that excitement, I've plumped for a bit of e/w value with Mix and Mingle at 33/1 in the 3.00 at Newmarket. I think Magical Lily will upset O'Brien in the 3.35 and I like the chances of Torcello in the 4.10, but there's no money attached to these 2, I'm just interested. There's also the excellent Sound And Silence to admire in the Newmarket opener, very nice. And they are all on ITV4? Hurray!!! There must be a good chance for each of the Skelton's horses in the first 3 at Newton Abbot, given the yards current form; interesting to watch. I reckon The Nortonizer is on to a good thing too with Highland Colori in the 2.45 at York, so that's my second bet of the day. Good Luck to Resurgem, what a selection, hope you get a bundle back on that lot. Enjoy your day, everybody
The O’Brien quest for Group 1 winners had attracted three fillies to the Fillies’ Mile but Happily has been withdrawn leaving just Magical and September, both of which I think are beatable by something else even though their Moyglare conqueror is out. The weight of the QM money probably slow down MASSAAT just as much as his penalty in the Challenge Stakes (3:00) but his respectable third to Ribchester in the Moulin looks good enough for him to account for Limato even conceding 3lbs. Dutch Connection has been disappointing this year and the filly Dabyah has not been seen since being three-and-a-half lengths behind Winter at Royal Ascot.
I'm all over gavotte in the 2.25 at HQ backed it in the Rockfell but didn't get the brakes and as some knowledgable poster stated earlier roger charltons horses are running well. Cougar mountain could be a surprise winner in the 3.00 and tor cello for balding in the 4.10 is carrying my dough. So strike them off your list.
This Magic Lilly looks pretty mature. She could win this unless inexperience tells. I have Magical, having fancied her at Chantiily against Wild Illusion, who looks to be a bit special.
The Fillies Mile is so competitive on paper. Not the highest class but great looking race all the same. It will take a mighty performance to convince me Clemmie and Happily are not the best two fillies around.
