    1.50 Worcester- DUSKY LEGEND 15/8

Is a good thing tomorrow, look built for chasing and carrying her hurdle form to this discipline, she should take some beating

Putting this one up early for Saturday (before final decs) as I just don't understand the price.

SAM SPINNER - Silver Trophy Handicap - 20/1

Never out of the frame in 6 starts, his form reads as a really top class progressive horse. Wholestone will be a worthy favourite, especially with the yard form there at the moment, but any signs of rust first time out (over a trip that's probably inadequate for him) and this is the horse I think could take advantage. I assume he's a guaranteed runner (been jocked up) and with quarter odds the 4 I'd be confident of some kind of return.

As it is the tenth horse in the weights, it should get in the race as the limit at Chepstow must be more than ten! The fact that they have given a jockey does not necessarily mean an intention to run – if the ground is unsuitably, they could withdraw and your ante post bet would lose. I have seen on occasions where Aidan O’Brien has a dozen entries in a flat race and Ryan Moore is given as the jockey for three or four of them. They do not actually have to declare a jockey until the final declarations.

Good luck anyway – hope it starts and runs a big race for you as there is nothing wrong with the case you make.

Only ever run with some soft in the going, and with no rain forecast ground is likely to be good....

Hoping they might turn the taps on - with horses like Finian's Oscar and Topofthegame unlikely to take their chance first time out on firmish ground they will surely do what they can to try and get those big names racing

Hello, crew. Lady Vesta secured another placing yesterday then (now 3/3 but no wins). Interesting to see what connections do next with her. Another Bumper, put her over timber, slap her on the rump and send her to the breeding shed, or try a Flat maiden??? Personally, I’d be tempted by the latter maybe over 12 furlongs or thereabouts. Any thoughts?!?

Coeur De Lion has not, I say has not, made it into the ‘Ces’ team. Regular readers hide your disappointment, stoically.

Bad luck. If it was balloted out – it was number 46 on the entries list, so that is probably the case – then ante post punters will get their money back. If they simply did not declare the horse, ante post punters will lose their stakes.

Yep, balloted out. Wasn’t on ante-post but thought CDL wold have gone close if he got in. Waiting to see now if he heads up to York, instead. That race though is worth some £235,000 less than the Cesarewitch!

Excuse me but I have a MASSIVE opinion on this race.
If Harry Fry runs GOLDEN BIRTHDAY in this he should most definitely not be opposed.

Equally progressive! There's the two against the field, hope they both get in. Wholestone is ripe to be opposed imo, will be a strong favourite but NTD has indicated that there's a likelihood he'll be sent chasing before xmas, not sure how much they'll flog him in this pipe opener, especially as he'll be aimed at further later in the campaign, be it over hurdles or fences

Here's what I have decided (foolishly?) to waste my money on today.

    AYR - 25p e/w patent.
    2:30 - Ingleby Angel (5/2)
    3:05 - Green Howard (9/2)
    3:35 - Dark Angel (10/3)

    EXETER - 25p e/w patent.
    2:10 - Blu Cavalier (9/2)
    3:15 - Hoke Colburn (7/1)
    3:45 - Moorlands Jack (7/2)

    EXETER - 25p e/w patent
    4:50 - Kings Temptation (4/1)
    5:20 - Grams and Ounces (7/1)
    1:50 Worcester - Dusky Legend (13/8)

    WORCESTER - 25p e/w patent
    2:55 - Global Citizen (9/4)
    3:25 - Clondaw Native (7/2)
    5:00 - Manny Owens (5/1)

All prices are BOG - so they could well have changed since I put the nets on.
Depending on how they do, depends if I have a flutter tonight.

I stand corrected Ron. I was looking at Ingleby Angel on my slip when I was typing.
