Happy for our strikers, and we were not a one man team.

Now Andy has gone, they will all get some game time. You can't say, apart from Ameobi sometimes, that they don't put their heart and soul in their performances. They deserve the chance to be the heroes that keep us up, just like they were the heroes that got us up last year.

I totally and completely believe in our squad, and that we were not just a one man team. Yes Carroll was a massive player for us, but so are most of our current squad. Barton and Nolan have been the driving force, and the inspiration. I see another 7/8 goals coming from midfield, another 8-10 coming from our strikers, and perhaps 2 or more from our defense.

long term its probably ranger that needs games.. do you start that process now or not?

 

I would. Ranger now has the gap to really step up, and potentially is the current player we have to replace Carroll..... I just hope the boy can sharpen up on his finishing quick time.

 

The biggest problem is that Pardew doesn't rate his workrate / effort in training. Surely he can see he has a shot at the big time here... i hope!

Ireland's out for 2 weeks still, so I can see us probably keeping the same team as we'll play against Fulham, with Nolan and Guthrie in the middle and Best and Shola up front.
Hope Ranger gets at least a good half hour playing time though in both games.
