Well jealous mate, enjoy. I've in the process of cutting down on smoking due to my asthma and seeing how it's affected my old man after 40 odd years. Now my boys getting older it makes me think about it more too, as it ****ing ruins me when I run around with him too much. Saying that though, even though I don't even enjoy 90% of the ***s I smoke these days, it's the simple things in life sometimes thst are the best and you savour... And as weird as it sounds when you're in the right mood there's nothing better than enjoying a drink and smoke sat outside in nice weather that sums that up sometimes Bet the scenery helps too
The most annoying thing is that I have never been a smoker for the last 48 years except for maybe 5-10 cigars a year in the last 5 years. As I said before though, it is what it is and it will be what it will be. No point me worrying about it, whatever happens I’ll have to deal with it [emoji16]
My Dad ( 92) and has Cancer , loves a puff of his pipe . I cannot abide cigarette smoke , but there is something about pipe tobacco ... I get my Dads from a little place in London road , love going there
Well both me and my old man are asthmatic, and he has smoked for 40 odd years 30 of which were cigars. His chest is proper ****ed now with copd and that but since about a year ago I've been on a stronger inhaler than... If I'm that bad now then how will be at his age Really made me think, I actually did really well recently of only smoking once or twice a week socially when drinking etc. But seem to have slipped back into it...
I hate seeing people smoke as I watched my Dad die of lung cancer at 60. He'd smoked since he was 14 because it was the done thing back then but not even getting over TB in the 1950s made him stop smoking. Then again, I'm officially obese so can't really nag anyone about smoking
Smoking is a horrendous habit but if that's what some people enjoy then so be it. My Dad smoked pretty much his entire life, 60 B+H a day at his worst. Luckily he managed to quit 7 years ago because I doubt he'd still be alive today if he hadn't.
Just watched a film on Netflix called I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore. If you’re a fan of dark, Ben Wheatly style comic turns it’s a belter.
Just finished reading the comments on smoking and over here in China the attitude towards passive smoking is years behind the western countries. People that smoke think they can (and do) smoke wherever they like and tough on those that don't like it. This morning I was on a train and smoking is banned on the them, even though the stop is about two minutes some will try to get off the train for a quick smoke in that 2 minutes. Smoking is not allowed on the platform but still nothing is done. i did see a video on a Chinese site a few days ago of a guy getting out of his car at a filling station and smoking, the attendant quickly used a fire extinguisher on this ignorant person. I think his message was clear.
