I think the terrorism in question comes in the form of paint cans, and to that end I suppose this might go some way towards preventing the young 'uns coming in and spraying anti-Allam messages on the stadium walls again. But I also think people will easily climb over if they are determined to get by.

Or maybe there is a real a present danger that someone's planning to blow up a horse.

The National Counter Terrorism Policing Network is made up of eleven Regional Counter Terrorism Units (CTUs) and Regional Counter Terrorism Intelligence Units (CTIUs) which bring together intelligence, operations and investigation functions around the United Kingdom to help prevent, disrupt and prosecute terrorist activities.[2] Units are regionally based and resourced by regional police forces and are composed of detectives, financial and cyber investigators, community contact teams, intelligence analysts, and forensic specialists. Each CTU provides coordination and specialist support for their respective regions. The CTUs are located as follows:[2

The North East Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) was set up in April 2007. It is one of five Counter Terrorism Units, established to strengthen the UK’s response to the threat from terrorism and domestic extremism.

The North East CTU works within the national counter terrorism network to make sure that the police service in the UK is better equipped to prevent or respond to incidents of terrorism and domestic extremism to investigate and prosecute those involved.

We deliver specialist support to police throughout the country, and in particular, forces in the North East region. The Unit draws on a wide range of expertise including; skilled detectives, financial investigators, community contact teams, intelligence analysts, forensic specialists and high-tech investigators.

Before Manchester the SMC applied for planning permission to build a 2.4 metre sliding fence allegedly on the advice of the anti-terrorist unit.

After Manchester they reduced the size of the fence to less than 2 metres to avoid the need for planning permission. Does anyone seriously think the anti-terrorist unit would agree that a smaller fence would be an acceptable barrier in the fight against terror? especially as its no barrier to across the railway lines as demonstrated last night.

The original planning application was made on 17 November 2017. They then withdrew the application. It has taken the Allams nearly a year to build the fence and shut off easy access to the park for residents east of the railway line. The sole purpose of closing the gate is to get revenge on the council whilst using the excuse of a terrorist threat.

They did it after Hull City Council told them they needed planning permission because they'd screwed up with the gate size.

    Allams act like ****s shocker.

There's nothing to discuss anymore, may as well close the thread.

Everyone knows the Allams are doing this to be ****s.

Even the three staunch Allam defenders who delight in trolling the board know this.

    It's a universal truth.

Anyone know how much it cost?

It's not like they're particularly keen on spending money unnecessarily, which makes this even stranger than normal.

It was quite clear in the info last night shut at 11pm and for the duration of the fair. Now you have the ****tard councilor coming out with this ****. They really love to posture don't they.

Hull city councillor Alan Clark, who is in favour of the footbridge being opened during Hull Fair, tweeted that he was in the dark about who was behind the controversial move and threatened to remove the barrier himself if it wasn't taken down.
Cllr Clark wrote: "First I know about this. Just made a call to have it removed they have until 4.30pm then I'm going to dispose of it myself."
