    That's my take on it. We didn't really play that well and it was a scrappy game. Can't see how anybody can justify giving out 8 and 9 to so many players based on that.

    Mainly the defenders to be fair. Thought Barton was terrific, every corner we cleared to halfway, who was the first man at halfway chasing it down? Barton even though he was in the box seconds earlier. Cabaye as well was closing down really well from the front.

    Krul and the CB's won that game for us, with a touch of brilliance from Raylor obviously. I think all the midfielders have had much better days. I can sort of see what you mean re Barton. Actually the last tweak I made to my ratings was to downgrade him from a 7 :) I think his unusually poor distribution swung it for me.

    Thought Tiote had one of the worst games I've seen him have and Shola did pretty well on his own and under almost constant pressure. The persistent fouling from the Mackems made it very difficult for any of our forward players to get the time on the ball that enables them to show their skills properly.

    Totally made up with the result though! :)

    Krul 8 cant fault him, some top saves

    Simpson 7 decent game, not spectacular but one of his better days
    Taylor 8 another terrific game, he and Colo look very good together
    Colo 8 MOTM I'd say, very solid as per
    Raylor 7 OK defensively, good rating as he got the winner

    Tiote 4.5 another off day, doesnt look fit to me. Should be up to speed soon enough
    Cabaye 6 some nice touches, but wasted playing with Shola
    Barton 6 solid, should have had his goal which Larsson blocked
    Jonas 8 very good offensively and defensively
    Obertan 6.5 decent but needs to see more of the ball and we need to use his pace more

    Shola 5.5 pretty poor
