Championship managers

Well Mighty one other name comes to mind

 

Ok I'll be polite. I think it will all come down to the quality of the respective squads. Good managers can take you so far but this is a long league to cope with so quality finally wins out. Boro & Wolves have spent the most. Warnock is a good manager at this level but I can't say I see enough of you lot to know if you can maintain it or how much you've improved on last year. Likewise we have players that we don't know will be good enough in the championship and TC seems to be tinkering too much, which I think contributed to our recent defeats. Also unsure why we have brought in players like Cibicki who doesn't seem to get a look in. That said the 'fringe' players looked hungry and at it in the cup game at Burnley but that didn't seem to influence TC. Once we are 15-20 games into the season, that is the time I think the division will reflect the type of season each club will have. I honestly don't know how we'll do as our form seems to have changed drastically and quickly.

 

That's fine London. The quality of the respective squads will definitly have a huge influence over the season or even a half season as I'm suggesting, but they still have to be managed in the Championship environment.

I agree about it being far too early to be positive about where we'll all be by the New Year. It was more about a gut feeling of the respective manager's influence and experience over those squads.

Both Santo and Christiansen are Championship "virgins" and might need time to come to grips with what it takes to get out of this bloody division. On the other side of the scale managers like Warnock, Bruce, and to a certain extent Wilder have the track records behind them. You'd think Neil and McCarthy would fall into that category as well, but neither has the depth nor quality of squads to sustain a top 6 slot. Monk has the squad but maybe not the experience - it's a funny old game.

Managers need some bollix to make the brave decisions. I'll be interested to see if TC brings in Lonergan for the next game.

Norwich fan at work thinks their team is too young to push to the end. Think Cardiff will need to spend come January. Not sure if your owners are flush.

Agree with the comments about seeing how things have settled after the next 5 games.

 

Mighty is pure gold m8,couldn't meet a nicer guy,all just banter with us and him,never any serious grief.He been in the Leeds stands with us and we've been in the millwall stands with him,how it should be,we enjoy a few beers together.

Chesh - Mighty might be a nice guy inthe flesh and I don't doubt it, but he's an absolute pillock on here.

As for Forza - I don't know what you've done to deserve him - maybe it's just a Leeds thing.
