Oh and by the way, I agree entirely about the supporting team bit, however I've given up mentioning that bit so I don't get involved in any rows or accused of being up myself anymore - it's the new me
The old you was more entertaining. Talking of which, anyone seen Godders? Not jumped off the Itchen Bridge I hope.
Agree they've done little wrong but VVDs organisation of the team should not be underestimated. Not just the back 4 - he organises the whole pitch on occassions.
Must still be hungover as am hallucinating. Thought I read some posts about Les Reed needing to go. Will watch the rest of the GP, then go back to bed and see if I am more awake.
Didn't post last night as got back late after missing a turning and ending up on the m5... Hell of a detour Well that was a but frustrating wasn't it? Performance itself wasn't that poor but same old issues. Gutting to work that hard to get back into it to throw it away again. What a strike from Maya btw. I'm going to be controversial and say it was actually our defence who let us down yesterday. First goal was a free header and from what I could see of the second (other end) it looked as though we had plenty of opportunity to clear it. At the end of the day if you know that you as a team struggle to score then, you need to make sure you don't give away cheap ****ing goals imo. A few points: -Virgil probably our best player. -MP brave with his subs but too many forward players lack that bravery in attacking positions. -he lost the ball a few times but I thought Boufal looked bright, and he's losing it because he's trying stuff. -Sorry Nathan, but you've had enough chances for me now, time to be used as an impact sub I think. -Can we please give 3 at the back a try? We've probably got the players to suit it more now than under Ron imo. Overall it's not great but it's not overly ****e either, pretty much what I expected tbh. Said after the Palace win that I think we'll be very hit and miss this season, or until January at least. Two home games coming up now which won't be easy. Rafa a very good coach and good at getting his teams well organised and well Pulis will be licking his lips at the thought of a trip down here. Anyway, up the ****ing Saints
How about we try: no one goes, the guys here get to come up with a plan lasting more than 12 months. You never know.
Oh and another thing: To those who are saying things like 'i can't be ****ed with Saints anymore' then get a ****ing grip Honestly, I know things aren't brilliant and we haven't been scoring freely for a while and yes we lost out in a tight game by the odd goal to another average side (quelle ****ing surprise) yesterday... I understand to criticise, whether it's players, managers or the board, that's fine. But to say you "can't be ****ed" with Saints anymore is a joke. Infact it's more than a joke, it's ****ing embarrassing. You must have been drinking white spirit every day throughout 08/09 #RantOver
Not sure if that's meant as an insult or compliment Assuming you're referring to second post, do you disagree?
So that's another game we should not have lost............It is obvious to us on here.......and it is becoming apparent to every one else........We are lacking in fire power. Once again Saints seem to have shot themselves in the foot by not starting in the transfer market early enough Seemingly every year something or someone seems to get in the way of recruiting players early. Whether having to replace a manager first or not going after interesting players. I get the impression sometimes we tend to go for the left overs.........Maybe we should start to consider going for players a stage higher than past purchases. Clearly I am as disappointed as most on here are. My biggest worry is that if we carry on like we are doing we are going to be in a relegation fight. It will be interesting if that should happen how our new owners will act on that.............I still have faith in Mopo2 but...........I really cannot think that if this continues he is likely to be here for the January transfer Window..........He needs a magic wand and quickly.............
Well put my friend. I am as frustrated as fnck with saints at the moment. The results are not what we want and the games are not that exciting.and everyone is entitled to their opinion but some comments astound me. There is a blame culture after every result. As forster played well this week we move onto someone else. Other comments about giving up I hope are just said in the heat of the moment. I don't get it, fans who have sat in the comfort of their own homes getting really p1ssed off. You spent the day travelling, spending a lot of you hard earnt money going to the game and can remain sensible.
On that note I saw a coach load of them on the way up to Manchester looking glum as **** before the game, did cross my mind after the game how they felt.
Sorry, don't want to dent your forum credibility. What was you thinking of going to an away game supporting the saints in a difficult fixture. Knobhead.
