Possibly, though I wouldn't class either of them as equal to Carlo. Though both are young. But either way it would be a downgrade.
It's a joke decision. A quality manager and he seems like a decent, respectable person, too. The Chinese were supposed to be offering him insane amounts to go there. Good luck to him. As for Everton's poor start, look at their opening fixtures. Stoke, who they beat, then City, Chelsea, Spurs and Utd. Not many sides taking much out of that. They also lost their best striker, have lots of new players and had the Europa League to deal with. Koeman was getting far too much stick for the results, in my opinion.
No idea why you thought they could challenge for top 4. Their squad is super imbalanced (koemans fault mainly). Rooney has been way past it for ages and is definitely not a forward anymore Gylfi is quality but needs runners and not rooney and klaasen clogging up the space and no one to pass to. Michael Keane was an unknown playing in a team in a deep line. God knows how he will do when he needs to be more expansive which most top teams are. Back on topic, what a joke for Bayern to sack Ancelotti. To be fair he hasn't reached the heights of what Pep had but he's got an old squad that needs a rebuild so not fully his fault.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the gurning cheerleader as his replacement! If I were a Liverpool fan I'd be driving him to the ****ing airport and begging Ancelotti to come the other way. I'm not though, thank ****, so hopefully their hero will stay put.
So would I to be honest. A definite upgrade A PL winning manager with awesome pedigree, who isn't insane and knows how to coach a good defence.
Bonkers decision. One of the best managers in the world without doubt and there's not exactly loads out there to replace him. Probably get the young guy from hoffenheim.
Only Guardiola has a better points per game return than Ancelotti as Bayern manager. Shocked they have sacked him tbh, who are they going to try and get in? I'd take Ancelotti to replace Wenger when he goes. I wonder if Ancelotti fancies a break from the game while he waits for the job?
Ancelotti comes across as a good guy. Maybe he's too nice, which is why he's been shat on by some of the clubs he's managed. Also, his arched left eyebrow makes it look like he's always thinking about something rather cunning. please log in to view this image
IF we lost Klopp, could hope for noone better than Ancelotti... Actually, I think hoping for Ancelotti would be brave. That said. Hell no. No reason to sack Klopp, certainly not this early in the season. Obviously we have problems but I think he gets the best out of the players... We've just not used transfer windows intelligently. Based on previous eras I know that our board plays an unhealthy role in transfers rather than the manager. Klopp never criticises FSG but I assume it's still going on. I blame the board rather than the manager for our transfer follies.
